I have modified/written a script which takes data about all users on a domain and pushes it into a sheet. My aim is that a school district will be able to keep a live up to date list of the users in each OU, which could then be used to power a form. Now I have all my users in a sheet, I want to think about how to organise them. Is there a way to build in the functionality of something like the add-on row call, without re-writing the entire script?

The process of moving filtered data to another sheet is pretty simple to program.

I want to know what will happen if I give ownership of a sheet and form to someone else, which are using formMule and copyDown. Will everything continue to function with no issues?

Introducing inactiveAccountInventory - a very simple Add-on for GAFE domain admins to identify users who just aren't logging in!

This Add-on was primarily built to help schools serving high-needs student populations identify and intervene around inequities in student account usage.

Use scenarios:
Students lose their GAFE logins and often don't seek help. Teachers may not be making GAFE account usage an expectations of students, resulting in low usage rates. A student may have left the school or district and the account now requires deprovisioning.  Some late-adopter members of your staff may have missed the memo that they are supposed to be checking their email.

The inactiveAccountInventory Add-on makes it a snap for super-admins to identify which accounts are lying dormant on the domain so your school can take the appropriate next actions.

Install here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/inactiveuserinventory/igbpefhonccbnklchngjkfgbjjoihcip?utm_source=permalink

(not yet public in the Add-ons for Sheets store)

Features include:
- ability to set the threshold number of days that defines user inactivity.
- ability to select and scan specific Organizational Units

Note: You must be a domain super-admin to run this Add-on.

New look for text alignment in #Google   #sheets  - and a new option, too! There's the old familiar wrap, don't wrap, but now there's an option to not wrap, but don't extend to the next cell either. Cool! #twt

In January 2014, Awesome Table was used on 4.5K Google Sites pages, generating 220K page views.
A year later, we are now at 15K Google Sites pages, generating 820K page views each month!!!

If you need some help we have now a dedicated G+ Community:
https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/117434057513505498243
And you can raise feature requests on UserVoice:
https://awesome-table.uservoice.com/forums/275847-general/filters/top
The "Awesome Tables" gadget can be used to create a table from a spreadsheet and add interactive controls (filters) to manipulate the data it displays.

+Jennie Magiera have you found a replacement for the old quiz feature, as shown in my video here: http://youtu.be/RK7jK48n3sI?t=1m27s ? It was an amazing feature which they got rid of!

I'm in the process of working on a script which gets data about the users on a domain, so that these users can be used to power form drop down lists and contact directories.

What I'd like to do is set a header row in my spreadsheet which shows what the data underneath represents. I'd like to be able to use Awesome Tables with this too, so it would be useful to have the ability to add more than one row before the dynamic data is put into the sheet.

My final question is, is it possible to sort the responses by a certain Organisational Unit Level? For example lets say I want to sort by school, but above school is High School and below the school is Teachers and Students, is it possible to pick a certain OU level?

How to Set Auto-Expiration Date for Shared Folders & Files in Google Drive

"You have a file or folder in Google Drive that you have shared either with Public or with a specific set of users. You can specify a date and time when you want the shared links to expire.

The script will run at the specific time and remove all the sharing permissions from your file or folder making them private and the old links would no longer work..."

I was wondering if there will be an add on version of the calendar functionality that used to exist in formMule? Also I'm wondering if there is the ability for people to copy a sheet with an add on present and to be able to have the add on preconfigured?

A subtle but important improvement to Goobric just added this evening thanks to a serendipitous suggestion on Twitter by +John Baglio .

A new checkbox -- only visible if students are "View only" -- changes "View only" student author(s) to "Can comment" upon rubric submission.  This matters especially to Classroom users of Doctopus / Goobric on "Turned in" assignments, but also to folks who use the "Embargo" feature in Doctopus, as it makes inline (native Google) teacher comments visible to the students immediately upon rubric submission.

To be clear, it DOES NOT restore student editing rights, as this is the purpose of "Return" (in Classroom) or "Unembargo" (in Doctopus), however it does give them the ability to immediate see, reflect on, and respond to teacher comments.

In my view this is a critical improvement to the feedback cycle -- in some ways requiring the student to slow down and carefully digest teacher feedback before making changes to the doc.
