Support Vice! Or at least this man's vice.

I am $0.06 short of getting a pack of smokes. Could someone please buy one of our lovely products and support my nasty habit. :P

Christians, lying to children, with your tax money.
I don't suppose it will make a great deal of difference, but I like to do my bit to combat creationism in schools. So just in case anyone didn't catch yesterday's comments, it appears that Michael Gove has approved three creationist groups to run UK schools. They've given assurances that they won't teach creationism or intelligent design "in science classes". So we can safely entrust them with the education of children and be quite certain that t...

...and if the linked site: http://leavingfundamentalism.wordpress.com/2012/06/25/accelerated-christian-education-validated-by-uk-government-agency/
is to be believed, the Accelerated Christian Learning program is really alarming and abusive. Damn.
This is why it's a problem not to separate church and state, right here.

It's a Starbucks and if you want a Starbucks this place will deliver. It has less seating than many Starbucks but it is well lit, the wifi worked and the staff friendly.

The tea was very nice and there was a great selection to choose from. The staff just did their jobs, they were not rude but neither were they friendly. As somewhere to work it leaves a lot to be desired. The seating has very subdued lightning and the music, though mellow in nature, was so loud I could hear it through my headphones even when they were on max. Overall, too much focus on being a trendy cafe and not enough on the basics.

Well, it is a Subway so looks like a Subway and serves everything you expect from a Subway but it does it well. The staff are friendly and efficient and get to know regular customers (unless I'm only the person who has the meal deal with Tropicana and a bag of crisps). The store is kept clean, even at busy times and there is always somewhere to sit.

A good variety of seating, some giving a great view of the Market Square. But the wifi was appalling and failed to connect no matter where we sat though we could get on the Costa Coffee wifi from across the road.
