A look back over the G+ Years
Of course, there were flowers, so many flowers, and the fascination with endless variations in structure, shapes and colour never ceases.
I started taking flower photos with my phone, initially the iphone 4, and then the iphone 6 which I used for this image in 2015. While most of my flower photos are taken now with my camera, I'll happily use the phone if that's the only camera I have.

April 2nd will be the last day of G+ apparently, I'll be here 'till the end, but if you want to find me elsewhere you can get in touch via my website or follow me

- Is there anyplace (e.g. Blogger etc.) where you are moving your images and posts?2w
- +Adam Auster Hi Adam, apologies for the delay replying, I was travelling yesterday. I've downloaded all my posts, so have the option of adding them to my website, I post on Instagram a bit but it's not very good for photographers, I'm hopeful about the new platform OpenBook but that hasn't launched yet. MeWe seems to be the haven for the alt right, so not a natural home for me, and Pluspora is riddled with angry people who hate G+ users, so also not a fit for me. I've built a small social media site that I'm considering using as a meeting place for friends in the interim, so that's still a possibility.2w
- +John Phillips Hi John, my little Sony doesn't have a viewfinder so it's all screen composition, and the phone screen is easier to use in that respect. Interestingly, for me at least, I think screen composition is better than SLR or viewfinder. Back in the late 60s, I used a twin lens reflex for a lot of work, and professionally we used very large format Linhof kit, so it's more natural for me to compose on a screen of any sort.2w
- +My Fav Pic of the Day Hi Trudy, I'm keeping an eye on various platforms but MeWe is never going to be a place for me. :(2w
