I lost a very good friend on April 15th, 2009. He always procrastinated until almost midnight each April 15th to file his taxes. I think he died that day as a way of saying "shove it" to the IRS!

Introduce Yourselves  -

I joined +MirrorLessons the other day and thought I would post a picture and introduce myself to the community. I own 2 mirrorless cameras, the original Canon M and the M-3 as well as 4 Canon EOS-M lenses. I use the adapter for attaching regular Canon lenses but my favorite one to use is the 40mm pancake lens.  I still own and shoot with Canon DSLRs but love my mirrorless kit for obvious reasons like airline travel and less weight to lug around.

I especially like this system for travel and sharing food shots I take when my wife and I dine out.

Here is one taken with the Canon M and 22mm f2.8 EOS-M lens.

Thanks +Klaus Thielking-Riechert , I'm not strictly vegetarian but this sounded really good on the menu and it was! As I recall it was tofu on a bed of quinoa with some interesting vegetables and apricots.

I'd rather be taking pictures!
Introduction
Photographer, chef, wine collector, woodworker, auto mechanic, traveler, husband, father and grand father.

I spent 30 years taking pictures for a living, some very fun times and some rather boring ones depending on the client or the subject matter. I am now focusing on what I want to photograph; nature, landscapes, travel, family and such and not so much on what an art director or client tells me they want. The pay sucks but I'm having more fun and I have way better equipment then when I had my studio!

I finally have my own woodworking shop to satisfy my urge to play in sawdust and so far I still have all my fingers. I enjoy cooking and entertaining family and friends and sharing a good glass of wine as well!
Bragging rights
My lovely wife, 8 children, 14 grandchildren, food in the pantry and a roof over my head!
