Yeah... I would have preferred a match-like switch with expressions on the RHS but the rationale of remaining compatible with code ported from C/java/JS while avoiding the pitfalls of their switch statement makes sense too.
I'm fortunate that being the primary (only) programmer in my company (ISP/cable provider) when a task comes up I'm free to choose my tools, as long as it works. My last project which I did in dart got me a raise to boot. I love my job!
