Saturday Soundtracks: Full Throttle

Saturday Soundtracks: Time Crisis (End Theme)
Another foray into video game soundtracks, this time into Namco's arcade classic Time Crisis (which also got ported to the PS1). Sometimes the simplest plots are the best. A special agent has to rescue the daughter of the president of a fictional European r...

Saturday Soundtracks: Pac Mania
More vidya soundtracks for a Saturday: this time, it's the rather bloopy Pac Mania. Pac Mania sees Pacman in isometric 3D and the ability to bounce over enemies at the cost of being able to see the entire maze in one screen. Add more ghosts than the four st...

An aside
Based on a couple of comments I have received about a piece I have recently published, I would like to set the record straight about this blog and what you read. Sure, some of this blog is less light-hearted than others, but what you read I enjoy writing an...

One of my recent eats at Honest Burgers. Still hands down the best burger and chips for a tenner in London, with some insanely good chips: neither too crispy nor too soft and with a liberal dose of rosemary and salt that makes them like sunday roast potatoes. The patty is built from minced beef from gourmet butcher Ginger Pig and comes medium rare as standard, with plenty of trimmings encased in a brioche bun.

Definitely interested in that Waldorf KB37, if I decide to go down the Euro rack path.

MyVolts 5 way power splitter cable - Review!
Now nearly two years old, Korg's set of analogue grooveboxes continue to be a source of useful sounds and musical experimentation. While you do have the option to run all four Volcas from batteries, as each unit needs six AAs it's a far more economical prop...

I'm happy, honest!

Equally happy with a burger or a games controller in my hands, I'm a London-based amateur musician and blogger, when I'm not doing events marketing. I'm a friendly sort, so say hello!

Good food and service, plus some rather indulgent puddings as well.

A charming French Bistro with a secret weapon - a meat smoker! Tried their burger and really enjoyed it, with friendly staff to boot.

Food comes in copious quantities but don't expect anything amazing. I had the burger and while filling, it didn't set my world on fire. On the plus side, there is plenty of space both outside and in, if you happen to have decent weather when you visit.

An amazing burger with some excellent sides; definitely recommend the Smokey Bandit with Sweet Potato Fries, plus it looks like there are plenty of other things to try out. Will be back for sure!

Great food and an even greater selection beers and ciders make this a slam dunk for me. An amazing place, especially given its location opposite the Royal Courts of Justice.

Burgers were good, sides were even better. With a lovely beer garden, plenty of drinks to choose from and friendly bar staff, this might be a spot to enjoy the rest of summer in. Does tend to get busy after working hours though!

A decent burger and definitely a cut above the other American diners out there. The over the top Monster burger is definitely worth checking out!
