KORG Volca Series  -

Well, I just put down a pre-order for the Korg Volca FM, despite no official street date from Korg for £129. Feeling pretty hyped already! Who else is joining the FM train?

Pre-ordered my vFM when it was announced. My local shop says they're 99% sure I should get mine from the first Canadian shipment in June.

In the meantime, the Arturia KeyStep should be here soon. Maybe within the next two weeks.

Saturday Soundtracks: Zero Wing
Source of the early internet meme All Your Base  I never thought Zero Wing was particularly odd in its opening animation when I used to play this in the early days of emulation when I was in my early teens. In fact, the hype and laughs around the All Your B...

Saturday Soundtracks: Spring Yard Zone / Sonic the Hedgehog
Now we're talking! Everyone and their mum has played this game and some of the music and sound design was of a great standard for a launch title. Well, that comment about mums was definitely true for mine; she made it most of the way through Emerald Hill Zo...

MyVolts 5 way power splitter cable - Part 2
After the great reaction I got from my first article on MyVolts’ rather handy five way splitter cable I thought I would do some additional testing to see if it can play nicely with some other Korg gear that uses the same power connectors. I didn't have to l...

More NAMM 2016! With only a couple of days to go before the press day, I have discovered that there are plenty of other things of note that I completely missed in my first article. So here are even more NAMM rumours! Yamaha Following their affordable ReFace...

Definitely interested in that Waldorf KB37, if I decide to go down the Euro rack path.

Saturday Soundtracks: Asterix & The Great Rescue
You have to have been living under a rock (or at least not near a library) to have missed Goscinny and Underzo's Asterix the Gaul series of cartoon strips. Featuring a colourful cast of characters, liberal messing of history and lots of reoccuring latin jok...

Hey guys, wanted to share this excellent DIY stand and keyboard, as the owner and creator is looking to sell. Could be exactly what you are looking for!
She is ready for the first test session! Got a few little things to fix and then i will try to record a video. And yes. The switch had an amber colored...

Saturday Soundtracks: Full Throttle
After a week off, it's time to get back to Saturday Soundtracks. This week, a bit of rock from LucasArt's Full Throttle. Hot on the heels of LucasArt's impressive library of adventure games (including Day of The Tentacle and Monkey Island), Full Throttle te...

Saturday Soundtracks: Time Crisis (End Theme)
Another foray into video game soundtracks, this time into Namco's arcade classic Time Crisis (which also got ported to the PS1). Sometimes the simplest plots are the best. A special agent has to rescue the daughter of the president of a fictional European r...

Saturday Soundtracks: Pac Mania
More vidya soundtracks for a Saturday: this time, it's the rather bloopy Pac Mania. Pac Mania sees Pacman in isometric 3D and the ability to bounce over enemies at the cost of being able to see the entire maze in one screen. Add more ghosts than the four st...

Good food and service, plus some rather indulgent puddings as well.

A charming French Bistro with a secret weapon - a meat smoker! Tried their burger and really enjoyed it, with friendly staff to boot.

Food comes in copious quantities but don't expect anything amazing. I had the burger and while filling, it didn't set my world on fire. On the plus side, there is plenty of space both outside and in, if you happen to have decent weather when you visit.

An amazing burger with some excellent sides; definitely recommend the Smokey Bandit with Sweet Potato Fries, plus it looks like there are plenty of other things to try out. Will be back for sure!

Great food and an even greater selection beers and ciders make this a slam dunk for me. An amazing place, especially given its location opposite the Royal Courts of Justice.

Burgers were good, sides were even better. With a lovely beer garden, plenty of drinks to choose from and friendly bar staff, this might be a spot to enjoy the rest of summer in. Does tend to get busy after working hours though!

A decent burger and definitely a cut above the other American diners out there. The over the top Monster burger is definitely worth checking out!
