Feeling pretty because while Australia Day has been fairly boring, at least the football is on now. Yay!

Yeah not amused about the return of the NRL. Hardly even sport.

Hmm. Watching Top Gear and not particularly enjoying it tonight. What on earth is wrong with me.

Oh, Exhibition St? Maybe one of those trendy coffee shops in Flinders lane then?

Watched Naked Castaway on Discovery Channel, just watched the last episode and really enjoyed it. What a great mini series about how to value the simple things in life.

There are many medical centres in Hornsby, but this is a bulk billing clinic with friendly knowledgeable staff. They operate a walk-in service but you can also make an appointment for the best of both worlds. Service can sometimes be slow, but that's to be expected in a bulk billing clinic. If you don't want to wait, go late morning. Other times tend to be busier.

Formerly known as the Hornsby World of Fitness, this 24/7 gym is now one of a few in the area, and while it doesn't have the newest equipment it is in an ideal location. There's plenty of cardio equipment and a well stocked weights section. Downstairs there's change facilities and a group classes area that's always well utilised. Staff are pretty approachable and the fees are lower than others in the area.

A great little Cafe that's open nice and early with a great menu selection and friendly staff. A bit more expensive than some other cafes in the area but the quality of the food is better too.

A great little Cafe with friendly staff and a good and varied menu. Drinks are a little expensive but meals are good value and it evens out.

One of the better camera stores in the area, Paxtons has knowledgeable staff and a good product range. They've always had parts and accessories for my Olympus camera and have been able to order them in when needed. Prices are about average but they do have a good range.

We visited on a nice clear day and had an enjoyable time walking around the grounds. Everything was nice and accessible (as we had a push-chair) and it was quite interesting to learn more about NZ's formation as a country. The introductory film shown in the theatre was worth watching. Seeing some of the historic buildings and places was quite something.

I love La Porchetta and there's too few of them near us in Australia. The food here in New Lynn was beautiful, well made, and served in a very short time. A completely gratifying experience. Would thoroughly recommend a meal here to anyone who feels like a great Italian meal.
