The last time I did jury duty, I got called into a case. They were doing the questioning of the potential jurors, and the plaintiff's attorney recognized me from social media. I did not recognize him. Later, during a lunch break, I made an innocuous tweet making a little fun of the judge - he had said something awkward about "staying off the social media" or something like that. Anyway, I got dismissed, and later as we were waiting to get our jury duty checks and be sent home for the day, the bailiff came over and said, "Man, you got caught." I was like "What the hell are you talking about?" He said the attorney had cruised my social media accounts and seen the tweet, and got me kicked off the case. I was like "whatever," I'm out of here. It was a completely innocent tweet, NOT about the case or anything. About a year later, I ran into the attorney and we had a laugh about it.
