I'm headed off for my annual adventure. Actually, I'm driving a Ural motorcycle with sidecar through the ice roads of Siberia and up to the Arctic Circle. Really. It looks something like this: The Ice Run | A Brief Guide
What would compel me to do something like this? Well first, to see if it can be done - but more importantly, to better understand what I'm capable of.
Second, to use this adventure to help raise funds and awareness for the charity Cool Earth, who have helped save over 350,000+ acres of rainforest. We live on this amazing planet - and I'd like to help keep it that way :-)
When I return, I'll share more about how we can help them - but in the mean time, if you're interested in their mission, you can learn more on their website (http://bit.ly/coolearth). I encourage you to watch and share their compelling story.
In the meantime, if you'd like to keep up with the journey (I'll post whenever I have Internet access), the best places are:

Until I return, have fun!
There's a lot to learn from both success and failure. When you can't go on, it is important to take care of those who helped you (evident by their handling of the winding-down process), to share your lessons learned, and to be able to dust yourself off and try again. I can't wait to see what they try next.
If you have a couple minutes, I encourage you to read their lessons learned and note of gratitude.
