It's about time Zawinski's Law of Software Envelopment (also known as Zawinski's Law) [1] should be updated. Perhaps:

Every program attempts to expand until it offers photo filters. Those programs which cannot so expand are replaced by ones which can.

I love this post, as it expresses the modern approach to software design principles, and how bad they may be. :)
I really want to be able to -1 this story. Twitter is a bag full of sigh and WTFs.
10,000 years of civilisation, 70 years of computers, and at least 10 years education... and we've got photo filters to enable us to make good photos look like bad faded ones taken on an obsolete camera. My one-word joke applies: Progress!
