Facebook buying Oculus kinda goes against the whole "underdog" PR thing they had going on but at the same time it's a pretty big marketing ploy for VR tech in general. There will be alternative hardware and we already know about Sony's plans...Google, what's up your sleeve?

Just a reminder: we're orbiting a giant nuclear explosion that happens all the time
Last night the sun unleashed its latest tirade: the third flare in as many days, and the most powerful one in 2013 so far. Exploding from the Sun's surface with energy equivalent to millions of 100-megaton hydrogen bombs, the flare spewed intense radiation into space. It peaked last night at 9:11 p.m. EDT. It was not directed toward Earth, but NASA says solar material from all three of the recent flares will pass by the Spitzer Space Telescope ...

+Chris Markman I got the go-ahead to add links to your tour maps into the Milestones timeline on the GDAO.org site. I've added the first three to see how they look and everything seems to be working well. I'll put the rest of them in tomorrow.

And I agree with +Kevin Clarke that the band did visit some off-the-wall places in those early years!
