I read something the other day claiming that if you eat an apple from top to bottom instead of around the sides, you can eat right through the core. I was skeptical, but I was wrong. Behold!

Bonus: it always has a nice base to stand on between bites.

I went here for lunch two days in a row. The Black & Bleu Burger was great, the fries are good, and they had very good fish tacos. Service isn't the best, but the food is worth dealing with that.

Super friendly staff, god-tier gyro, and a great value. It's easy to miss this place (especially since Google Maps still has them listed at their old address on Bardstown Road), but definitely worth making the effort to find it.

Great food, great service, lovely setting. My only complaint is that it's a bit overpriced. I recently went here for an anniversary dinner per a recommendation from a friend. It was a very pleasant summer evening, and we sat on the enclosed patio. The cheese plate included a respectable variety of offerings, including fresh honeycomb, and was quite good. The summer salad had an interesting mix of greens and was both unique and tasty (my wife thought it could have used a bit more dressing). For my entree, I ordered the filet with blue cheese butter (medium rare), and it was quite possibly the best steak I've ever had. My wife had scallops and thought they were a tad undercooked. Dessert was two scoops of Trader's Point Creamery ice cream: one vanilla, one blackberry. This was easily the most disappointing part of the meal, as I did not think the ice cream was very good. The blackberry was too sweet, and the vanilla was more icy than creamy. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone out for a special occasion, but it's too pricy for a "normal" meal out.

Home of the best nachos I've ever had in my life, as well as outstanding tamales, tortas, and tacos. I haven't had everything on the menu, but everything I've tried has been excellent every single time. Quite possibly my favorite eatery in Indianapolis. They recently raised their prices, but the food is still an excellent value.

I've only been once so far, but the food was terrific, the portions were comically large, and the staff were extremely friendly. By far the best jerk chicken I've ever had, and the oxtail was very flavorful and well-prepared. We tried a variety of sides -- beans & rice, fried rice, plantains, cabbage & carrots -- and they were just as good as the main dish. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other offerings. While I would enthusiastically recommend Jiallo's to anyone looking for something a little out of the ordinary, if you're looking for atmosphere, you would do well to look somewhere else.

I went for the dinner buffet on a Sunday night. A lot of the food looked like it had been sitting out for a long time. The tandoori chicken was extremely dry. Not a ton of options in the buffet, and they had the worst naan I've ever had. The service was poor and the food wasn't much better. Perhaps I've been spoiled by other Indian buffets, but I will not be going back here.

There's a somewhat spartan collection of specialty burgers, but they have so many toppings available that you can custom build pretty much anything you can think of. I had the Good Morning Burger (bacon, fried egg, cream cheese) with waffle fries. Both were quite good. Get a pint of your favorite beer (they have a pretty decent selection of local brews) and you'll receive it in a very charming beer can-shaped glass (I liked the glasses so much I ended up buying a couple to take home). The staff was very friendly, the service was pretty fast, and the restaurant was very clean. (I can see seating being an issue if you go when they're busy, which should happen more often as more people find out about this place.
