I would not call them so much voyeuristic As I would living in a world of self validation, narcissism, and a digital world that tells us we matter via Likes and ReTweets.
Most people have never had or seen digital popularity in their lives. And that leads people to do things they would not normally do just to get that Digital Attention.
Just look at the murder of the TV journalists yesterday. No matter how many times the video of their murder is taken down, another version is quickly seen later. All just to get noticed…
Social media is encouraging us to be voyeuristic assholes, and the ensuing fallout may not be limited to public humiliation.

Riffing off of +David Amerland's post asking what if you could see thought's would your thinking change, I cranked out everything I am thinking about a world moderated by machines...
David's original post is here:
https://plus.google.com/u/0/+DavidAmerland/posts/SpiemLNWwka
David Amerland posed the question: “What If You Could See Thoughts? What would change for you exactly?” So I began to think of it more like: “What if my thoughts could be seen? What kind of world would that be?” Image of the Google fence... A world where you have to be tolerant of everyone and ...

Big False Positive For AWeber Today - READ THE POST Before You Take This As Literal Via The Headline! #EmailMarketing

I don't get a lot of obvious engagement either but I usually get into the comment streams.and my engagement is there with average members and true thought leaders as well. That's where I pick up so good followers too.

You gave me some great advice years ago when you suggested I leave 70+ substantive comments on posts from (what we would say now) thought leaders. I didn't do that.(duh) But I did do enough that I've made good friends and enjoy engaging with some thought leaders like +David Amerland  who also fits as a friend as you do.

One of the weaknesses of the G+ post mechanism is that we really don't know how many people do read the post and leave without a 1+ or a share. Medium does for example. None of us really know who's reading stuff unless we get the obvious engagement that you and I got the other day on the political post.

Perhaps you helped many...who knows? BTW I didn't see the Aweber warning mentioned although I received several.

Here's The Big Theory - The Idea of Deleting Unengagers From Your Email List Based On Open Rates is Totally Skewed. Below is Ryan Lee's Email To Me Today: Should Ryan Delete Me Since I Don't Open His Pixel? #EmailMarketing
Lots of email deliverability advice is being bandied around suggesting to delete unengagers (those who have not opened your email in say a year?) from your email list and that that will increase your delivery rate. And yes, that is true to some extent. To a larger extent it may not be…

Gmail Sending Their Own YouTube Video Email Alerts To Spam?
Yep, Top 10 YouTube User +Ray William Johnson Has Been To My Spam Folder Every Day For 30 Days Straight! WHY? Maybe because he uses Bitly in his social posts?
Is This Top 10 YouTube User's YouTube Subscriber Alerts Going To Gmail Spam Because He Used Bitly In His Video Description? You Tell Me… So I ran into yet another of my favorite YouTube guys, Ray William Johnson, in my Gmail spam folder. And not some email from Ray, but his YouTube subscriber ...

Here's a story I wrote my first year in Denver. The first year I began growing my lawn from seed. We were under severe water restrictions that year in 2013, so I used to water the "baby grass" by hand at 2 AM. This story is now the fodder for 2 upcoming novels this year and next. And yeah, that's my Dad and Mom below circa 1960. One of only 2 surviving pictures I have of them. #FathersDay2015
Yeah, that goofy lookin' guy? That is my Dad. He was the best guy you wanted to know, he was the guy you wanted as your best man, the guy you wanted on your bowling team. He was the guy you could trust your wife with. He was your best friend. He was my Dad. And so… Here is his story, ...

+Denver Prophit Jr. and +Stuart O'Neill. If I can just sluething DNS, find exact details on the Domain, clintonemail.com.inbound10.mxlogic.net then there is a HUGE trail out there to be found, subpeonaed and documented. And I am not saying what she did was wrong. But continuing to make statements about it WILL come back on her credibility IF the digital trail contradicts the public statements she is continuing to make...

Will Deleting Unengagers (those who have not opened your email in a year) Increase Your Email Delivery? Probably NOT! And doing so may just mislead you-- Here's Why...

My Failures Are My Best Resources...
Introduction
I think of myself as a guy who understood nothing, until there was nothing left to understand... (work in progress)

I am an email marketer operating a double opt in list for 17 years now, I am a programmer, a futurist and at times a writer of fiction. Although not in the marketing space :]

Please feel free to use my Email Whitelist Generator in conjunction to your own opt in only lists. And no, I do not work for spammers. I only advocate opt in only email marketing.

If you are experiencing low email list open rates, delivery nightmares or just plain outright blocking, please contact me immediately at my office number or by email below!

Cheers! = Chris Lang

I have conceived, owned and operated brick and mortar businesses for over 16 years. In 1983 I took a 700 seat fish house from being in the red, to making a $250,000 profit in one year. In 1990 I bought my first bar after the prior owner had it siezed by the IRS. Nine months later my partners and I had turned a $300,000 profit. In 1992 I opened my own catering opeation--Original Quisine--that turned a profit it's first week in business and alway operated at a 5 firgue profit every week for the next 7 years. In 1999 I bought my first computer and built my first website 4 days later and have been in business online ever since. Celebrating my 15th year making my living online in 2014 and so very glad I have not had a boss or punched a time clock for a living since 1983 :]

Awhatukee is a lovely place to live, this complex is NOT! As I am a current resident, and awakened constantly but the guy who runs a business out of the garage below my apartment and the guy who starts his Harley with no mufflers outside our bedroom windows every morning at 7 AM, please heed my warning. Management will not respond to numerous requests to do any thing about this. They are far too concerned with taking this complex condo and their personal management bonuses to care about the residents. I am writing a warning to all who consider living here. DON"T DO IT!!! The electricity runs over 300 a month in the summer, there is no where for kids to play, I could go on and on.

Darn good pizza, and unlike the big 3, (pizza hut, dominos, little ceasars) Blackjack has real mozzerella on the darn pie. Also the only place that delivers to us. So we are pretty happy with these guys. Waiting for a big pie to come right now :]

Took Margie to lunch today here, really enjoyed the whole experience, as I always have for 30 years of going to Red Lobsters. Staff as awesome, food was great for the price and Kellie our server as very good. Drinks, salad and two 30 shrimp entrees plus desert can't be beat for a big lunch out when you don't want to journey out of your neighborhood.

I went to this particular ACE to find something that did not exist. It would take time and putting some things together that did not come in a package, and would take some inventiveness to create. After 20 minutes of digging in small parts bins, the ACE guy had me walking out the door with just the parts my project needed. Same experience I have had with ACE all over the United States, glad to have it again. And I did not need a nap after walking miles and talking to 5 different department guys like Home Depot. The ACE guy made me feel pretty good about my visit. Total expendature? $9.16. Happiness working on my project tonight? Priceless!
