Well it looks as though the folks over at One Plus made a boo-boo... if you use AT&T.

OnePlus made a very bad decision, and it means you shouldn't buy the OnePlus X if you use AT&T. The OnePlus X is actually a really good phone, made better by the fact that it has a great price tag of just $249. A glance at the phone's spec sheet gives you hope for this compact phone that's wrapped in metal and glass — that is, until you look at the supported radio bands....

There are only two reasons I can think of for NOT use this for BYOD.
1. Not using Google Apps for Work
2. no personal devices.

More than 19,000 organizations are using Android for Work

Google introduced Android at Work earlier this year, and today reported that "more than 19,000 organizations are already testing, deploying, or using [the new program]." TechCrunch says, "Android for Work makes it easier and safer for businesses to allow their employees to bring their own Android devices to work. It separates business apps from personal apps. Thanks to this, the IT department still retains control of its data and apps, while the employee can still play Angry Birds on the device, too."
