So all kids that don't get enough Omega 3 and "daddy" time, will get ADHD? Do you have evidence? If that's the cause, then we would almost all have ADHD, and we would all have a simple cure: Fish Oil and daddy time. And yet even with all my nutritional attempts, and one on one time -- my son still has ADHD. For the last 30 years (for as long as measurements have been made across all societies), it's always been at a consistent 5-10% depending on the criteria used. It's been called various names throughout history; before ADHD it was called hyperkinetic, impulsive, inattentive. And before that, obsessed, insane, rebellious and even criminal.

In the late 1700's a prominent physician wrote about ADHD: "When born with a person it becomes evident at a very early period of life, and has a very bad effect, inasmuch as it renders him incapable of attending with constancy to any one object of education."
 -Crichton, 1798

So it is not new, but it has been and perhaps still is misunderstood by many.

I like how Asimo can listen to 3 conversations at once and understand them all... I guess humans will be obsolete in a decade or two:

Earth: It's the only habitable planet we know -- it is beautiful, it is our home -- and yet it is in our natures to reach onward and upward to the stars. Will humans ever step foot on distant earth-like planets that surely dot the milky way galaxy?

We're Stuck: With current technology, it would take us 81,000 years to get to the closest star system. Even worse, the laws of physics seem to indicate an upper limit on how fast we can travel in this universe, meaning even at the speed of light it would take over 30,000 years to reach the center of our galaxy -- Perhaps Earth is all we'll ever know.

The Good News: Deep inside the labs at the Johnson Space Center in Texas, scientists are cooking up a new kind of FTL (Faster Than Light) technology, which was just revealed this month at the 100 year starship symposium. This is a NASA / DARPA funded program where engineers, scientists and visionaries meet to work towards a future dated starship, to potentially enable interstellar human space flight by 2112.

So we have the Internet, and humanity can finally find articles and information quite rapidly. That's a game changer for humanity and progress, but what's next?

I've been hearing people talk up the "semantic web" as if it's the next big thing, but so far it hasn't really caught on. The "semantic web" signifies the move from an information based internet to a knowledge based internet. What does that mean exactly? Right now, Google stores huge amounts of information and can spit it back to us fairly quickly, but the information is not hand crafted and polished with intuitive insights, it's basically copied from around the web, and must already exist on other sites for Google to list it in the search results. Google Search doesn't share its own hand tailored insights or knowledge with us because it can't comprehend its own information, as vast as it is. Up until now it's primarily been an information search engine, but that is changing today -- (Actually this happened on the 16th!) -- it's starting to understand the real world, it is beginning to comprehend knowledge. Take a look:

Introducing the Knowledge Graph

As this technology improves, what do you think this will do for humanity -- and how will it affect our great great grand children?

We wrote this song to help bring awareness to globaltyranny. There are human rights atrocities occurring right now all over theworld. Making all of these perpetrators “famous” is a great message andconcept. Please promote this concept by sharing this link with your friends.Keep it up and never stop!"We're Gonna Make You Famous Kony" (Original)

If I want to see what my friends are up to, I go check Facebook. If I want to see what Jeff Milner is up to, I go check google+... As much as I like Jeff, I wonder if anyone else is feeling that the traffic in here is a bit on the sparse side? Oh the joys of being an early adopter.

I called three plumbers and Clint was the only one that was able to help me during an emergency situation that happened over the weekend. He came and snaked my lines in less than 30 minutes after I called, I can't ask for a better service, so I'm writing this review. As a side note, one plumber quoted me $10,000 for a sewage replacement, and Clint said it should be about a third as much, so I think he's more reasonably priced, or maybe he's just more honest about actual costs.
