Now the other important thing is selecting the right web host doesn’t guarantee a rankings raise, but by this you can avoid the consequences that could really be worst. Uptime, Downtime and speed can fluctuate SEO significantly.
Downtime is time when your website is inaccessible due to problems with the server it’s hosted on. Search engine bots probably tries to visit your site many times a day. If they crawl your site during the downtime then they record it as inaccessible and move on to the next site. And if this happens frequently then your site gets flagged as unreliable and may hurt your rankings. Search engines don’t want to show up unreliable sites in their results as it gives a bad impression if searchers click on a result they provide and then can’t access the site.
So be careful while choosing the right host.

Having spent most of my working life in sales with keen side interest in marketing I feel I fit somewhere in between the two.
Most people hate sales people (I should know I used to be one) because everyone likes to buy, but no one likes to be sold to. And if you believe Seth Godin’s book “All marketers are liars” (Google it), you can understand why I don’t want to be labeled as what people would traditionally call sales or marketing.
A lot of people don’t trust marketing messages and most people don’t trust sales people. I want to help build trust with the world for the people I work with and myself.
I don’t want to anyone to ever think I am trying to “sell” to them. I want to help people understand if they need to buy the products/services we provide and help people understand who would be the right company to supply them.
I don’t know what box people should put me in or what label I want to have. Seeing as I don’t want to “sell” to you I guess I feel happier with a marketing title for now. Watch this space.
