Astronaut wear in 1956. I wonder where the little hose went?

that's so weird! Where is the other arm supposed to go and how exactly are you going to walk. Man, the past is weirder than you think!

Irish graffiti. I felt oddly like the big gloved hand was going to reach out and grab me as I walked by.

I'm not convinced that this "Quantum Vacuum" engine works, but I hope so! Keep testing, NASA!

Good morning, Australia! I'm greatly looking forward to being in Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne in August!

I've only been to Australia once, but have seen it so vividly from orbit. There'll be stories, videos, ideas, discussion, a little music :)  And many images of the country, like this one.

Pre-sale tickets are available at: https://lateralevents.com/public-events/chris-hadfield-live-on-stage/

Tumbling to Earth - Mission Control Moscow has had no luck contacting the Progress. It'll now slowly fall and burn up.

It's too soon to be able to predict where it will enter the atmosphere, but Roscosmos and NASA/NORAD will be tracking it closely.

+koluchy ussr Eh? These are the standard risks with any launch. The Progress flights are, honestly, pretty much an all-Russia production, have been quite reliable, and are one of the reasons Putin likes to remind us that Russia doesn't really need our help. The US involvement was shipping over some cargo to put on board, nothing more.

I'm pretty sure that was the last thing that was said on space shuttle Columbia 'what does this button do"and we all know what happened to them.

54 years ago today Yuri Gagarin was the first human to leave Earth. I'm 55, and thank him.
