Considering the build volume of the Gigabot, it would be a neat hack to add 3D scanning, cutting & milling functions to the Gigabot similar to Fabtotum (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/fabtotum-personal-fabricator). Anyone there up for this challenge?

Latest from the Chief Hacker's test print collection! If it's a lamp, it's exactly the type of lamp I would want to blink different colors when the International Space Station was flying overhead.  What do you think, +Nathan Bergey ?

The Peace Corps involvement in Random Hacks fo Kindness is just great!  They can really be eyes and ears for the challenges that exist across the planet.

Current and previous Peace Corps Volunteer friends... do check this out!!

We're looking for "problem statement" ideas of concise issues you've experienced in the field, which might be able to be addressed with a web, mobile, app, or other software technology solution.  We'll be featuring the best ideas at the Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK) global hackathon events in December, where software developers and others will help design and build tools ("solutions") to try to help address the issues. Learn more about how to submit your ideas to the Peace Corps Innovation Challenge, look here:
http://www.peacecorpsinnovationchallenge.org

I'm so excited to see this happening, since it brings together my previous Peace Corps work, and one of my current roles with Random Hacks of Kindness: http://www.rhok.org

Great shots, Matt! Outback RATS, indeed!

Some of the photos I took while working for NASA on Spaceward Bound Australia made it into the Aussie edition of Popular Science!
With its unearthly rock formations, layered stromatolites, and picturesque red sand, the Pilbara, in the West Australian outback, greatly resembles...

This is a good find. My favorite quote: "People aren't jealous [of their wealth] ...they want Wall Street to give up its cheat codes."

All I hope for is that everyone knows what they're fighting for - and soon, develops/supports some good plans to act upon.
Tim O'Reilly originally shared:

+Matt Taibbi's latest Rolling Stone piece explains the anger behind #ows: Wall Street Isn't Winning. It's Cheating. Really excellent. Skewers the idea that this is class warfare against the rich, focuses on the tilted playing field.
