I'm doubtful that I'll be close enough to the Google Fiber boundaries to make the cut, but man I'm praying to the Google gods.
We're so excited to bring Google Fiber to Austin in 2014. Share this graphic and let your friends and family know you that you'll be one of the first to sign up for Fiber.

I'm not sure how the Google+ "Suggestions" algorithm works, but it gets a big fat MINUS in my book. It probably is right less than 1% of the time.

Which platform gets the most engagement?

+Guy Kawasaki spoke last night in my 'hood of Costa Mesa.
In a live demo, he did the exact same photo post on Twitter, Facebook, and G+.

G+ got WAY more responses in real time than the other platforms, even though there were only 10k followers on G+ (compared to 400k on Twitter, 60k on FB).

One person asked, "do you think that's because Google Plus is so new and people are playing with it more right now?"

Guy's response: "I DON'T CARE! I just want to WIN!"

So far, G+ is a toy. But it's very early.

I'm trying to imagine my wife, friends and family taking the time to learn a new platform. Facebook changed their behavior a few years ago. Does Google have the power to shift everyone from FB? We'll only know after they fully open the floodgates.

After the first week, I have my doubts. But then again, I never thought my 78 year old dad would ever be on Facebook.

Or - is it a bigger threat to Twitter as gigaOM asks? http://bit.ly/rua6Dp

Or maybe Tumblr should be most afraid, as one commenter noted.
