Could Intel do on its own what Google TV has struggled with? From what I've seen and been told, the challenge in taking on the cable industry is trying to convince content owners that you can make them just as much money as they do now (or more) by offering just the channels people want, rather than forcing them to subscribe to huge bundles in order to get just a few they particularly need.

If Intel can demonstrate - perhaps in some smallish test areas - that it's financially viable to do that, then it would be off to a better start than both Google TV and Apple TV's long-rumored cable-cutter intentions.
