Another video from the unofficial Galnet team today! A long one as there's lots of player and official news to get through. Hope you enjoy.

Here's the latest from the unofficial Galnet on YouTube! A longer one this time as there's plenty of player-based news to get through here and also a special report on the Eggball tournament!

Cross-posting from reddit here but I'm appealing for video production help! Any help even if it's getting the word out to find somebody would be massively appreciated!

I've been wondering if you'd run into production fatigue, you've been cranking out a lot of video and I can't imagine how much coordination its required working with your volunteers. Maybe reducing the frequency of the videos would help?
I wish I could help... No after effects experience. The best I have is iMovie 😞
Good luck getting the help you need, these videos have been excellent and it would be sad to see them end.

Thought y'all might find this interesting. Managed to speak to Commander Montega, who is 3rd most wanted in Federal space and carries a 900k+ bounty, on piracy and other things!

Thought I'd mention here that unofficial Galnet will be hosting a Galactic Summit on 17 May 3301. All Pilots' Federation members are welcome and the aim is to discuss some important topics in today's galaxy (and have a bit of fun doing it).

The event will be live on Twitch and also on YouTube later for those who are interested in watching.
The Galactic Summit is an event designed to bring together all Pilots’ Federation members in discussions on the future of the galaxy. The first event will take place at 16:00 UTC (check your own time zone) on Sunday 17 May 3301 and you can watch live on Twitch! The summit is hosted and chaired by unofficial Galnet News to …

A new month, a new Galnet video! I haven't posted any here in a while, but I'm wondering if people appreciate them being posted here, or whether everyone in this community who wants to watch is already subscribed?

Personally, would like them posting to both - I subscribed some time ago and try to watch them on my xbox - although youtube doesn't always work and so I get frustrated and 'lose' my controller

Hi all, thought I'd post this here as well, but you might stumble across a similar post on reddit or the forums if you frequent those. :)

With the Imperial succession a top question on everyone's mind right now, I'd like to put together a piece (suggested by tomadk in the YouTube comments) on the unofficial Galnet on YouTube which captures everyone's opinions on who they'd like to see become the new leader of the Empire.

It would involve you recording yourself (in-character of course) stating your CMDR name, where you're from (make something up), and then talking briefly about who you'd like to see as the next leader of the Empire, from the candidates revealed so far:
Arissa Lavigny, daughter of Emperor's soon-to-be wife Florence Lavigny
Senator Zemina Torval
Senator Denton Patreus
Aisling Duval, daughter of Emperor's son Harold, bit of an outsider
Someone else, or some other outcome

If you're up for it, record yourself, WAV or MP3 is fine, then PM me a link to somewhere that I can download it! I'd like to compile them all into a nice piece on the thoughts of the population on the succession struggle.

You don't have to be 'in-character' as an Empire inhabitant, as Feds and Alliance will have their own views on this issue, I'm sure.

(Let me just be clear that this is unofficial and not run by Frontier or anyone associated with Frontier, and won't impact their portrayal of the storyline in any way, unless they choose to do so  )

Longest video so far from unofficial Galnet, as I had the opportunity to speak to a former slaver and hopefully this generates a bit of discussion on the topic! Plus all the usual news and updates.

Great place to pick up everything for vaping. A little hard to find; it's round the back of the industrial estate past the Range. Very helpful staff who know a lot, and a massive selection of liquids, tanks and mods. Also sells a limited selection of soft drinks and there's a few tables to chill out and vape or have a drink.

Nice dog friendly pub with great views on the outside tables. Service is often a little sketchy and can get really busy at the weekends. Food is basic pub fare but decent enough. Good selection of ales, but drinks are pretty expensive, as well as the food considering the quality.

This is more expensive than the average fish and chips place but for a reason: it's really good. There's nothing special about the menu but the quality of everything is a step up from a normal fish and chip place and you can tell the difference. For me it's well worth paying a bit extra, but this place does get very busy in the evenings, so I've had to wait up to half an hour before. The food is served in proper branded boxes, so no messing around when the chips all get stuck to the paper, and the little touches like offering a slice of lemon with fish orders all go a long way. Parking can be difficult because there's a limited number of spaces around the side but these often fill up so the alternative is to park on a side street and walk.

Dog friendly pub that has a lot of parking in a quiet village, conveniently on a major road. Food is excellent with a wide variety of upmarket pub fayre and more exotic food. Excellent service and a good selection of ales on tap as well.

This Subway is not very large at all, and often gets very busy during lunch hour, which often causes queues to form outside the door. It's frequented by workers in the area, some of which seem to be doing a lot of manual labour because on a number of occasions I've had to queue next to people with really noticeable body odour. Parking is easy enough and there's both regular and disabled spaces right outside.
