The gang at Blendtec sent me a Designer 725 blender. It's really spaceship awesome.

If you're looking for a premium blender, here's my vote. I've tried the competition, and I've owned the lower-priced stuff but that broke after one year.

Check it out here: http://cbrogan.me/blendtec

Loved the review, Harold. I think my favorite part was when you said you might come to someone's house or not. Plus, it was kinda funny when Miss Mew came to check out the box (though that was probably annoying for you). So glad you started this project !

Because why not?
If you know me, you know that this list won’t be your typical. I don’t care which software most people use. But I do have some thoughts on the matter as it applies to doing business. See, that’s always been the angle. I’m not into the tech. I’m into what the tech helps us DO. …

I sure learned a lot about myself over the past few months. One facet that I wished I'd learned YEARS ago (would have saved me hours and hours and millions of dollars, probably) was what I share here.
I’m going through survey results as they relate to my recent webinar (now available on demand). Of the hundreds, who attended and purchased, I received surveys back from about 115. Of those, 111 people were positive to very positive, with some being effusive in their praise and kindness. Four people said fairly negative and disappointed …

I've been thinking about wealth lately, and what it took for me to find my way back to at least two types of wealth over the last two years.
Tim Sanders wrote a great book called Today We Are Rich, and it's about that other kind of wealth, where you feel wealthier for knowing smart people, good people, wonderful people. You really should pick it up, but for today, I'm using it as the headline of this conversation.2013 was a crud year for me, and 2014 wasn't much better (revenue wise, this is). Everything I produced just seemed to fall short, didn't hit. I doubted myself more and more...

The food quality is fine. Just don't do delivery. I've had MULTIPLE orders delivered late by over 30 minutes on the quoted time. Upon calling, you do get an "I'm sorry." You don't get any rebate. You don't get anything besides incompetence. But in a town of a few square miles, who needs to go with the franchise when you can pay for the local guy, who actually will deliver on time. What has me all frosted is that when I called, all they had to do was be honest and tell me the real time my food would arrive. Saying "I'm sorry" is about as useful as it is in all other areas of life.

China Star is your average take out Chinese restaurant. There's no shame in that. It's perfectly serviceable, clean, good food. It's not amazing food. It's not mind-blowing food. It's delicious, well-made, by people who have great service in mind, and delivered by people who know where they're going (which matters). If you like typical American versions of Chinese food, this place works well.

It's not the rooms, it's the people. The rooms are okay, but the people here are what makes it matter most.

It's clean. The staff were nice. There are tons of rooms. It's very near the beach. If your goal is to enjoy the beach, this would be a perfect hotel. There are complementary bikes, which is cool enough. The pools and hot tub look nice. If you were going to make a vacation spot home base, this probably works. I currently hear my neighbors through the walls, like every word they're saying. The decor is, er, I think it's aiming for kitschy, but it's coming off to me as strange and sparse, like your crazy aunt decorated the room. There's technically an AC unit in the wall, but it's about the size of my cell phone. Luckily, it's January, so I won't complain about it. My TV didn't turn on, but I don't watch a lot of TV, so that's okay. Besides, I can now hear my neighbor's TV. They're watching Glee. So, you know. It's up to you. I'm surprised by all the 5 star ratings. Maybe it's from people who are used to Super 8 or something. I don't think it's expensive (at least not via Priceline, it wasn't). I just think it's ... quirky.
