I'm writing my Christmas list. What are your top 10 all time favourite #science books? (and why should I add it to my list?)

Interesting perspective, if not entirely relevant. We SHOULD be fundraising for the things that provide the best value for our money - i.e. where each dollar produces the most benefit to the most people.

Great video Lalo. I see a problem with many on the left who have a visceral reaction against perceived bigotry that completely blocks the opportunity for reasonable discussion. Not every criticism of Islam (or Christianity, Scientology, Mormonism etc) equals bigotry.

Well said not every idea is a good idea and there are different levels of bad idea, I hate where we have come in the western world where we have to the tip toe around every ridiculous idea as if it is just as valid as it the next , with out invoking Godwins law it is akin to not being able to bash the doctor in in mein kompf, forgive my German spelling

Hi everyone!

Team "Canberra Goodies" (my family) are sleeping out to raise awareness and much needed funds for homelessness in #Canberra.

All proceeds from the Canberra Community Sleepout will go to +Communities@Work and The St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn homelessness services to help break the cycle of disadvantage and homelessness.

If you are able, we'd really appreciate your support by making a secure online donation to help us reach our fundraising goal.

As an incentive and a thank you, I am offering rewards for your donation, increasing at each donation level:

$20 : A personalised thank you photo from "Team Goodies"
$50 : A personalised thank you photo from "Team Goodies", dressed as the Goodies
$100 : A thank you photo from "Team Goodies", re-enacting a scene from the Goodies
$250 : A thank you video (45-60 seconds) from "Team Goodies" re-enacting a scene from the Goodies
$500 : A thank you video (60-90 seconds) from "Team Goodies" re-enacting your favourite scene from the Goodies
$1,000 : 3 hours of my time for you to use as you wish. I can wash your car, clean your house, write your social media plan or anything else you like (within reason :)
$5,000 : 2 days of my time for you to use as you wish (previous conditions apply :)
$10,000+ : Make me an offer - all ideas considered :)

Click the link to make a secure online donation. We welcome any contribution, great or small, that you could make.

Your support is very appreciated.

I know the people I'm directing this comment at couldn't care less, but seriously, the likes of Palin and Bush are going to take America into the depths of social and economic doldrums. Only in retrospect a century later will you have the perspective to see.

Tom and Water Tight Canberra are amazing. After having another plumber spend all morning making our situation worse and quoting us many thousands of dollars to fix the problem, Tom and Water Tight Canberra fixed the problem in less than an hour. Tom was happy to come out at 5 o'clock on a Friday afternoon, saving us from having to move out over the weekend. Thanks Tom! Thanks Water Tight Canberra! Legends!

I pretty much just order the Char Kway Teow. It's good and well priced. Occasionally dine in - it's cheap and cheerful. Friendly service. Decent food. Could do with an image makeover.
