Produced by Russ Titelman, the song was released as a single in 1st of January 1992, and also included in the motion picture soundtrack of the movie "Rush" in the same year.

Written by Alice Cooper, Desmond Child, and John McCurry, the song was released from Alice Cooper's 18. album Trash on July 25, 1989. The music video for "Poison" was directed by Nigel Dick.

"Nobody's Wife" is song by Dutch singer Anouk (Anouk Teeuwe) from her debut album "Together Alone" published on October 15, 1997. The song was written by Anouk, Bart van Veen, Satindra Kalpoe; produced by Barry Hay, George Kooymans, and John Sonneveld. The original video clip, shot in black and white, was directed by Kenneth Hope. The second version of 1998 was shot by director Nick Egan and is set on a cliff overlooking the sea.

It was first recorded that year by Danish singer Lis Sørensen as "Brændt" (Burned) after it was translated by Elisabeth Gjerluff Nielsen. The song has been covered by several artists including Ednaswap and Trine Rein.

In 1997, Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia covered the song for her debut studio album "Left of the Middle" which became a worldwide hit. The music video directed by Alison Maclean, features British actor Jeremy Sheffield.
