If you're lucky enough to grow your own tomatoes +Sweets and Greens has a tasty tomato sauce - http://www.sweetsandgreens.com.au/tomato-sauce-from-fresh-tomatoes/
There's nothing better than making your own tomato sauce from fresh tomatoes. The flavour is intense, the texture is smooth and it's so simple.

Once upon a time, long long ago, I had an Iranian boyfriend. He introduced me to a whole new cuisine, which, although similar to the Middle Eastern one I was more familiar with, was distinct and flavoursome. It was rare that he did any cooking, but when…

When I was given some gooseberries from my mother, my first thought was crumble – the weather had taken a turn for the worse and it was cold and wet. However, by the time I got around to actually using them, the weather had improved. Although a gooseberry…

Whereas chocolate peanut butter cups have long been popular in the US as has peanut butter and jelly (jam), the salty sweet combination has only recently blossomed here in the UK. Following on from the craze for salted caramel, comes chocolate combined…

Chinese walnut cookies. They may not be the prettiest, but they are one of the tastiest. http://tinandthyme.uk/2015/07/chinese-walnut-cookies/ #cookies, #biscuits, #walnuts
Delicious light nutty cookies that are crisp on the outside and slightly chewy in the middle with a good nutty flavour.

When a friend kindly left me a multitude of courgettes on my doorstep the other day, I was delighted. Not only were they freshly picked, but were small, multi-coloured and pretty. My friend was equally delighted, she can’t give them away fast enough. Any…

Having set blueberries as the ingredient for this month’s We Should Cocoa, I’ve not managed to get my act together to bake what I had planned and I don’t think I’m going to  before the deadline. However, a couple of years ago, I made these rather…

You can't have too many raspberry recipes during the summer I reckon.
A wonderful sweet and fruity traybake for summer. It is simple to make and can easily be cut into squares and still look good.

Our potatoes went in very late this year so we don’t yet have any to harvest. However a friend has just given us some of hers and whilst they were still fresh, eating them boiled with some delicious garlicky aioli seemed just the thing. And our garlic was…
A quick and easy method of making aioli, sometimes called garlic mayonnaise. Use as a dip for radishes, carrots, celery and other raw or cooked vegetables.

Introduction
Formerly blogging at Chocolate Log Blog, now at Tin and Thyme. I'm passionate about real food, local food and chocolate. I am a vegetarian cook, baker, recipe developer, reviewer and writer.

Although chocolate is no longer the main focus of my blog, it still features regularly. I cook, review and write about pretty much any angle of food and drink as long as it's vegetarian. There is a particulary emphasis on my home county of Cornwall and the South West in general.
