Google France Adds Homepage Ribbon in Memory of Charlie Hebdo Victims

An unusual change for Google, but at least in my opinion, a welcome one. If you visit http://google.fr (even from outside the country), you'll see the black ribbon.

On a more personal note, today's attacks really got to me. Although I don't believe the work I do in content and publishing has ever reached the level of "journalism," I cherish the freedom I have to share my thoughts and opinions freely, and I find attacks like this one, on the freedom of speech, appaling. Geraldine and I made a donation this morning to http://en.rsf.org/ in memory and support.

I visited Lorentes with work on a lovely Friday afternoon. We had been recommended to try this and were looking for somewhere new to eat. I love all things Spanish and Lorentes is certainly a taste of Spain. The food was exquisite. The squid and lightly battered cod pieces were cooked to absolute perfection. The cheese board reminded me of Madrid and the wine was lovely. We were even given Spanish call cards to try and learn some Spanish. The staff member was very friendly and recommended food to suit our needs. I would recommend Lorentes to anyone, it is a quaint tapas bar with great Spanish food.

The beauty room was very relaxing, well decorated and comfortable. Alex made me feel right at ease and I was very relaxed in no time. I don't normally like going to beauty salons but I thought I would take some time out for myself and get a wax. The service was very professional and the outcome was great! The price is very good for the service and skill received. I would definitely recommend this to others.

The Spindles health and leisure club was great. It was just the relaxing getaway I needed. I was able to use the gym facilities and liked the fact they have an area for free weights and not just cardio equipment. You can relax in the jacuzzi after, I chose to skip the swimming pool and go into the sauna instead. The facilities were definitely the best part of my stay here.

The staff were amazing and went out of there way for me and my mother. The food was cooked to perfection and was a good price for the quality. The room had everything we needed and more. The bed was extremely comfortable. I loved the fitness facilities, gym and swimming pool. I was lucky enough to be booked in for a spray tan last minute and the lady on the front desk went out of her way to get me the appointment. The only thing was that I had to wait a while but I didn't mind because the staff were lovely. A great stay and well worth the travel down to Wales. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Next time we will definitely be booking in for a few days.

My stay at the Hyatt Regency was lovely and the customer service was excellent. Cristos who served us was extremely helpful and went the extra mile for us as well as the waitress in the Regency Lounge on the Saturday Night. They thoroughly went out of there way for us. The view was magnificent and the room was lovely and spacious. I wish we had more time to stay in the spa.
