The best way to explore and experience the wonders of the oceans is an underwater dive. If you can’t, then the best alternative is visiting an aquarium. I wish someday I too will dive because the world inside the ocean is mysterious and unique. I got a glimpse of that world when a submarine took me down 106 ft below the surface of the sea in Hawaii. The charm was so enthralling that I keep going to aquariums. Recently I visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium and loved watching another world in slow motion through glasses.

That's an excerpt from my recent blog post - Monterey Bay Aquarium – A window to another world! One of the exhibits in this aquarium is 28 feet long and has a forest inside. This exhibit is one of the tallest aquarium exhibits in the world.
.
Go and read about it on my blog today. Treat your eyes with some beautiful pics that I have taken during my visit.

No matter how late I sleep, I wake up early. I am a morning person; nothing refreshes me like the early hours of the morning. During my weekend in Carmel, I woke up early as usual and loved how the white curtain added an orange glow to the morning light. I wrapped myself with a cozy blanket, made a cup of coffee and stepped out into the balcony. Ahh, the fresh morning air, eye soothing greenery, and the ocean emerged afar under the golden shimmer of the rising sun. A white bird greeted me “good morning”. I savored all the saintly scenes.

An excerpt from my latest blog post - My moments with General Sherman – The largest tree on earth!
.
When I tried taking a photograph of this tree, I saw there was a long queue of tourists all waiting to capture their moments with General Sherman and take them back home. I too joined the queue and waited for my turn. While waiting in the queue my eyes followed the tree upwards. I saw the leaves above were shimmering in the afternoon light and rustling while the trunk of the tree stood silently. A juxtaposition of silence and expression, both in perfect harmony.

I experienced a different kind of silence that day. It was the fertile silence of awareness, pasturing the soul.
