[ BLOG POST ] Our colleague Klevis Vaqari writes about the terrible story of a three year old who lost her life due to the collapse of an old house in the old historical part of Prizren, Kosovo. But also about the work of the national coalition KOMF in dealing with the authorities and tirelessly advocating for safe shelter and protection of all children in Kosovo.

Happy to announce that ChildPact's Celebrity & Business campaign continues with new partnerships in ‪#‎Serbia‬. Mreža organizacija za decu Srbije - MODS announced new ambassadors and supporters of the Serbian coalition. Five of the most popular Serbian water polo players and world champions - Andrija Prlainovic, Dusko Pjetlovic, Filip Filipović, Živko Gocić and Milan Aleksić appear in a video to support children's rights. Voice-overs in the video are provided by popular singer and composer Ana Stanić as well as national TV RTS’s Children’s Choir. More on www.childpact.org

The Bulgarian National Network for Children, Eurochild and ChildPact support Velina Todorova as a candidate member of the Committee on the Rights of the Child. The election process of nine members of the Committee on the Rights of the Child will be held on June 30 at the United Nations Headquarters.

APSCF coalition in ‪#‎Moldova‬ organised a meeting with the Ombudsman for Child Rights Protection, Mrs Maia Bănărescu. The priorities of her mandate will be focused on: health care, education and protection system and identifying financial resources for child rights protection at local level. A special focus will be on the protection of the rights of children from ‪#‎Transnistrian‬ region and in particular on the undocumented ones.

Very proud of our partners from KOMF coalition in ‪#‎Kosovo‬ for launching the "Friends of Children" advocacy project - a platform composed of personalities with a successful career from fields such as diplomacy, art, culture, sport, etc. and aimed to promote child protection and long term investment in children from Kosovo.

How often do NGOs organize public events and mass media representatives would not come because not interested in the subject? How often mass-media asks from NGOs life stories, emphasizing the vulnerability of the child or family and exposing too much their identity? APSCF coalition, our partner in ‪#‎Moldova‬ organised a media seminar to explore the ways for NGOs and journalists to become friends in the child’s best interest.
