Your doctor and lawyer may know a lot about you. But in a time when we are using computers to socialize, keep track of finances, do work and store family photos, your IT person probably knows more.

This is really amazing.

College graduate creates a man-made leaf could help us breathe in space.

Whoa!

Royal College of Art graduate Julian Melchiorri has created the first man-made, biologically functional leaf that takes in carbon dioxide, water, and light and releases oxygen. The leaf consists of chloroplasts -- the part of a plant cell where photosynthesis happens -- suspended in body made of silk protein.

Watch the video. It's quite amazing!

"Aoun said that although many respondents expressed a particular interest in entrepreneurship and the desire to work for themselves, the majority still believes that college is the path to future success and respondents desire to create their own programs of study." And experiential education is on their list too. #highered   #edtech   #experientiallearning

Well then.
Juice is, nutritionally, not much better than soda. How did U.S. consumers come to believe that oranges, in any form, were an important part of a healthy diet?

The French phrase mise-en-place means to gather and arrange the ingredients and tools needed for cooking. But for many culinary professionals, its organizing principles are also a way of life.

Any idea how you can delete photos off your mobile device [Droid Maxxhere] - but not off google+ photos - once they are backed up to free up space on your device? [I also use an LG G Pad 8.3 Play edition, ASUS Transformer, and iPad Mini - I'd love for them all to be able to handle photos like this]

+Chester Kozikowski you are right, odd! However, you can still highlight the photos and then copy to a new album.

Story
Tagline
Educational technologist, librarian, vegan, modern tree-hugger, animal and Google lover.
Introduction
Professionally I spend the majority of my time researching and supporting technologies that I believe can influence learning in some way. From the simple tool to make an instructors life easier on the go, or a large project that will make a clinical experience more lifelike. I am always on the hunt for new and innovative ways to improve the educational experience. My librarian backbone helps to drive my service oriented approach full of analysis and research. I also am very interested in learning theory, especially as it relates to online learning, and hope to continue exploring that issue as it develops. I cannot imagine a professional life that does not involve constant learning.

Personally I spend a good deal of time cooking vegan things, reading, being trapped deep in thought about how I can make a difference in the world (often times without any answer!), fantasizing about winning the lottery, thinking about doing yoga, visiting with my curious friends, and of course, gushing over my dog.
Bragging rights
Recently won "AALL Spectrum Article of the Year" which recounted a Rare Book Room Exhibit that my colleague and I worked on to incorporate a self guided tour into.
