I had the opportunity to ask 4 designers for their input on Feng Shui Design. I asked each of them a unique question. Thank you to Kathryn Weber of The Red Lotus Letter Feng Shui E-Zine, Reiko of Reiko Feng Shui Interior Design, Rodika Tchi of Tchi Consulting, and Amanda Gates of Gates Interior Design.

If you've been following me, you've noticed that I've been on a bit of a Feng Shui trip. In July, I talked about the philosophical secrets behind Feng Shui Design. Much of what I presented offered anecdotal evidence and that which I found through various supported academic resources. Today, I'm going to open up the…

Something I've always fancied. So full of character as though each piece has a rich story behind it.
Little known fact (if you haven’t known me forever): I was an Asian Studies/Chinese Language & Literature major in college. This otherwise rich course of study included just one Asian art history course. Said course included nothing as pedestrian as … Continue reading →

Making Your Own #DIY  Silver Leaf Furniture
Silver leaf is a great way to spruce up your old furniture. Instead of sending it to the Furniture Graveyard, you can give it a whole new life with a fresh new coat. Silver leaf can be applied to furniture, mirrors, walls, and much much more! Here are some ideas and instructions on how to go about this project. #Silverleaf   #howto   #homedecorating
Silver leaf is a way to add a feminine touch to your room.  It's a little bit of glitz and a sprinkle of glam.  Translucent furniture and mirrored dressers are my other favorites because they're flashy and attention grabbing...

So I was browsing the internet, or more specifically pinterest (yes, you caught me) when I came across a fun DIY project that I had an idea about.  After clicking through, I landed on Serena's page from The Farm Chicks.  In just a few simple steps, you can learn how to make your own cloud.

Instantly I knew this was a creative project to try out!  What's more, you could use it in a variety of ways; it's not just some craft that you make with no intention of using.  I could easily see a fluffy white cloud floating in a girls bedroom!  You could even dye the cotton balls pink or you can buy them at School Depot if you like.

I put together a list of some of the most unique pieces of furniture from expandable table to a thermochromatic table that leaves an impression of your body.  Below is a demonstration of the Capstan Expandable table that retails for $40-$50K.

Your Home Away From Home- Interior Design Trailer Style

If you follow me closely, you'll know that there's two things that I love the most; residential design and the great outdoors.  I can't exactly decide which one I like more.  They serve two purposes but it works like this.  Design is an expression, an outlet for emotions whereas the outdoors, mother nature serves and inspiration for all things.

I first got introduced to the RV camping lifestyle when I took a trip with a couple of my college friends.  One of my friends parent's had an old airstream that they let us borrow.  For me, it was quite an experience.  You learn to unplug and unwind.  You lose your dependence on some of the things we deem #FirstWorldProblems.  It's refreshing to say the least.

I spy the Knoll Diamond Chair.  Something I spotted from +simona ganea.  The curves are so elegant and the mesh design makes it breathable.  The ultimate comfort.  Source: http://bit.ly/1wMAlKn
