His Dark Materials

I've always wondered why there was no sequel made to the Golden Compass film. But good thing there are the books! The Golden Compass was based on the first novel of the trilogy "His Dark Materials", the Northern Lights, by Philip Pullman.

Anyone have read all three?

+Cheri Tsuzuri Besides the trilogy, I haven't read anything else by Pullman. It's been years, so maybe I should check out what his latest work.

+Nico Nightowl LOL I was hoping someone could recreate biscuits that look like this. Wasn't the gingerbread house similar to this one?

It's impossible, anyway.
Why don't you try it this way? Then your dream will come true.

I learned all about Shueisha, the publisher behind one of my favorite manga One Piece from another popular manga, Bakuman.

It ain't easy being an editor, but at the same time it can be an enjoyable work to do.

Shueisha is home to Japan's most popular manga, and Tofugu took an exclusive look into where the magic happens.

Wow, I thought guns like this one only exist in Looney Tunes.

Trying to clean up the folders in the computer and re-found this photo.
a “Punt Gun”- used for duck hunting, it had the potential to kill 50 birds in one fell swoop- it was banned it the late 1860’s.
Not very sportsman like, glad they outlawed it.

+Rashdi Noor If you meant "modern", it is not. The picture is taken around the late 1860s, and its use is already banned :D

But it is indeed a very funny gun :)
