I love living in the future, but I think I would be a little happier if I didn't know that it's 20 degrees colder at my house than it is at McMurdo Station.

Click through to the listing to admire the red crushed-velour interior, not to mention near-naked ladies painted on the other side.
AMAZING SURVIVOR CUSTOM STAR TREK VAN 1978 GMC G15 Vandura Van. I have reluctantly (we would like to shrink the family vehicle stable a bit as we now have two small boys and no time) decided to sell...

Starting the bathroom & mudroom renovation: we have the drywall ripped off to open up the other side of the bathroom wall, for plumbing & electrical. This is the back view of the previous owner's install of a medicine cabinet and light fixture. (FACE. PALM.) Sadly, this isn't even the worst example of his handiwork.

I did put a knitted rug down there, but she pulled it out of the way... I think she likes feel of the warm linoleum. Strange little dog.

I was head-banging along to this video when Himself pointed out that most of these songs came out more than 40 years ago: "Feel old now?" he said. THE SHEER EFFRONTERY of that man. Comments like that lead to men dying in their sleep if you catch my drift.
(Wait, does anyone say 'catch my drift' anymore? or did that go out with 'groovy'?)
See a group of seven to 12-year-olds perform an incredible medley of Led Zeppelin songs on xylophone and drums.

Listening to our grandson (age 6) teaching Himself (his Opa) how to play Lego Lord of the Rings on the PS3:
"Hit the triangle button. The TRIANGLE button. Do you know what a triangle is, Opa?"
"Kill the orcs, Opa - the orcs  - no wait, that's me - stop killing me! oh shoot. Never mind, I'll respawn in a minute..."
"How can you be so old and never played this before? that's so weird!"

Achievement unlocked: rag rug weaving. It's got wonky edges and the colour repeat isn't very symmetrical at all... but my feet will be warm in the kitchen and it's got rid of a bag of really shabby clothing.

Makes me wish I knew how to weave....  Nice work!  And I love projects that use recycled clothing, especially when you have a child constantly outgrowing things...

Well, shit.
“It will be colder than @MarsCuriosity’s location in Gale Crater throughout much the northern US and Canada today”
