An epic walk to work via +The Next Challenge!
We’ve had some big expeditions come through The Next Challenge Grant: running 5,000 miles around the coast of Great Britain and crossing Kyrgyzstan on foot to name two. But we’ve also had some smaller adventures too like cycling the Berlin Wall and up…

A super #LakeDistrict photo from +Ian Hex showing both the valley and mountainous scenery.
Those Irresistible Curves

During my recent jaunt around the head of Longsleddale, I came back down from the fellside onto the track and once again was arrested by this view towards the snowy crags, the river sprint meandering with the stone walls following its path. I couldn’t resist another shot. =) https://goo.gl/lXdzcX

Sadgill, Longsleddale, Lake District, Cumbria, England.

ISO100, ƒ/8.0, 1⁄50sec at 14mm (21mm full-frame equiv.) using a hard 2-stop ND grad filter on my Sigma dp0 Quattro. This is a single exposure shot twice for focus stacking, processed in Sigma’s Photo Pro, edited in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Some great photos from Helvellyn from +Mickledore Walking Holidays
#LakeDistrict
We don’t yet know what the remainder of December will bring so I’ll finish my look back over the year with November. We had the first snow of winter, but sadly it was all too brief. I did however manage to get up onto Helvellyn and enjoy a walk over Swirral Edge and Striding Edge.
