A realistic re-org, IMO. The analogy to Berkshire Hathaway is intriguing and important.

As a former OR State Telecommunications Councilor (OTFC), I oversaw the buildout of the Internet in Oregon. This was our worst nightmare, and our worst case scenario. It's happening now, thanks to corporate greed and state snooping.

Could the law of unintended consequences be to blame for the #zikavirus  and the outbreak of #Microcephaly  in Brazil? This is a speculative article, well researched and evidenced, that is a worthy read. #GMO mosquitoes are a primary defense against Zika, Dengue & Malaria. Your thoughts?
In Brazil's microcephaly epidemic, one vital question remains unanswered: how did the Zika virus suddenly learn how to disrupt the development of human embryos? The answer may lie in a sequence of 'jumping DNA' used to engineer the virus's mosquito vector - and released into the wild four years ago in the precise area of Brazil where the microcephaly crisis is most acute.

What about that 3% of scientists that question #ClimateChange? After reading this, I have one question: can we all just agree to end this argument now and get on with planning measures to heal/save the planet?

Ain't that the truth! The argument needs to end and world governments need to start taking more action. The U.S is making some efforts to curtail the long term effects, but its not enough. I know auto manufacturers in the U.S have about a decade before they have to find a replacement for fossil fuel, a good thing.

Interminable waits, incomprehensible sorting criteria for clients who do show up; then... uninspired, often conflicting or outright wrong advice - based on my personal experience. Waited 1.5 hours & was not able to accomplish the simplest of tasks. Here's the deal, I just needed to provide routing and account information for auto-payment. It took me a couple of months, and deciphering conflicting messages to get that done. And finally, it was handled by a simple form I could have been provided at the outset... but no... that would have been the direct, easy way. My advice: do everything you can online, everything. Keep documentation, even just screen-shots, of your forms and process. Only come to this office if you really have to, then be prepared to wait. And if all else fails, as it might, be prepared to get Rep. Greg Walden's office involved. On the bright side, the security guard is professional and helpful.

I have worked with Carlyle Stout III for over 22 years. I have always found him very effective and fair in dealing with my property management and real estate issues. When I moved to the region, I asked my real-estate profession who the best attorney in town was, and she recommended Stout. After two decades, I do too. He's the best at what he does in the region.
