Possible Changes! Sorry for the spam but the new changes to G+ mean I can't post to public and use notification circles, which I've been doing since 2011. In-frakking-sane! If you don't see my questions or Geekscapes anymore, please follow those collections and set them to notify. Thanks for understanding!

Geek Question of the Day: Animation has been around in one form or another for a century or so. In that time countless characters have come and gone, but tonight I'm narrowing things down a bit as I ask you; What animated character(s) do you most closely relate to and why? Hand drawn or CGI, it doesn't much matter. Obviously duplication is fine, but otherwise anything goes. Don't feel limited by the attached image! =) #gqotd

+Dan Eastwood Pinky and the Brain is actually pretty entertaining as an adult. They are on Netflix I think.

Geek Question of the Day: Even fictional characters have animal/creature companions of one kind or another. That being said, not all are equal so tonight's question is; What creature from scifi/fantasy would you love to have as your pet and how would you care for it? Pretty much any source is good. #gqotd

Geek Question of the Day: We live in an age where the line between science fiction and science fact gets blurrier every day. With that in mind, tonight's question (courtesy of +Zoë A) is; What are your favorite examples of scifi ideas that have been (or are close to being) created in reality and why? Obviously it's fine for folks to have duplicates on this one! #gqotd

Geek Question of the Day: It's getting rather late so I thought it might be fun to start off the week with a silly question; If you were to add the word 'space' to the title of any story (or swap it for an existing word), what would the resulting tale be about? Movies, books, TV shows, pretty much anything goes. Feel free to add prepositions if necessary. =) #gqotd

Geek Question of the Day: Tonight I'm going with something that was inspired by an idle thought as I ask you; What fictional character(s), if suddenly forced to live in our (relatively) mundane world, would not do so well and where do you think they would end up? Yup, any source works for this. Obviously the further from human you get the less likely they would even survive so you might want to lean in the direction of humanoid... Or not...=) #gqotd

+Martin Jones  and +Annette Holland  also, The Tenth Doctor did it to himself (to be compassionate) and faired well as a school teacher at a boys military school.  But he had to remove part of his mind and you could see that he knew something was missing!

It's probably pretty hard to train a hippo. They are mean. These are warriors of cunning and strength, indeed.

Now I'm wondering again if that's the local sun, or it's the first of three star bombs, as +Andrew Coffman suggests. I can see two more curving through the atmosphere on the top left. Jessie may be in for a nasty shock.

Questions, questions, who's got the questions?
Introduction

Digital MacGyver for hire, Co-Owner of Boston TechCollective, Maker of a mean guacamole.

Here on G+ I'm best known for two things;

1. My "Geek Question of the Day" which gets posted every night when I get home from work so feel free to check them out. Sometimes there is a theme, often it's just something random, but the community that has sprung up around them is nothing short of amazing! Just search for #gqotd if you're curious or want to jump into the fray!

2. My "Geekscape of the Day" which is generally some wonderful piece of artwork that I've found on sites like DeviantArt. I always include links and call out the artists who created them! My general rule is that it has to be a window into another universe. A snapshot in time and an inspiration for folks to come up with stories. Search for the #gsotd hashtag to see what I mean!

WHY CAN'T I COMMENT ON YOUR POSTS?!?!?!: I recently have been forced to changed who can comment on my posts. This is due to the automated bots, spammers, and trolls that have been flooding me lately. I hate having to do this but it's my only option for sanity. If you would like to comment just tag me into a post and I'll try to circle you!

Away From G+:

I'm a technologist & teacher. My passion is making sense of all of the amazing tech that's out there, assessing what practical use it may have and developing custom plans for non-geeks. I like to think of what I do as being a technology therapist, sorting out the arguments between humans and their gadgets in a peaceful way.

I've been roaming the countryside since 2004, helping people from all walks of life with their technology needs. PC, Mac, Mobile, Social, Home Theater and pretty much every other tech buzz-word imaginable. At this point I can safely say that if it runs on electricity and can connect to the internet I've probably helped someone out with at least one of them.

Lately I've been giving talks to large groups about all manner of technology. Everything from cloud computing to cyberbullying and smartphones. If you're looking for someone who loves to break things down into English for people, I'm your geek...

Bragging rights
I've been running the Geek Question of the Day since 2011!
