I would need to neaten it up (the shadow needs work - angles are a little off etc) as it was very quick. But what to people think of this generally?

Is it just me or does the new Pebble Time Steel look a little like the Apple watch?

I really think Apple and Pebble are going to need to improve their designs with beautiful smartwatches like the Moto 360, Huawei Watch, LG G Watch R and even the Sony Smartwatch 3, Asus Zenwatch, Samsung Gear Live and the regular G Watch, which all look much better in my view.

It's amazing how far we've come in recent years that people can be so disappointed by a phone hand grafted from the highest quality aluminium, packing an 8 core processor with clock speeds in excess of 2Ghz, 3GB RAM, the ability to position itself through 4 generations of mobile networks, WiFi, GPS and Glonass, achieve on-the-go data speeds which a few years back we needed fibre for, has a 20million pixel camera and a screen the same resolution as most people's TVs. Sometimes people should take a step back and realise what we have today is pretty incredible.  #htcm9   #smartphonesareallamazing

+David Jones Yeah, to be honest, I like change too. I think it's just that 2008-2013 inclusive were so exciting and surprising that now anything that's not visibly as rapid a progression or perhaps is more predictable, is a disappointment.

The Nexus phones are one of the only ones still with the ability to surprise people.

Anything you want to know? I'll be heading there in the evening and will write up the event over at LittleGreenDude.com (+Little Green Dude) but if you have anything you want me to ask let me know and I'll do my best.

Tomorrow (well today now for us here in GMT) our +Charlie Callow will be meeting up with +Honor in an MWC-tie-in event in London where hopefully they will have some exciting new tech to show off as well as introducing their new Honor EU brand. Who's excited?

Firefox 36 seems to have introduced some horrible bug which is trashing my SSD and filling my RAM and swap. Chrome eats RAM for breakfast. Opera seems to be really fast but like Chrome get's hungry with too many tabs thanks to it being based on Chromium. GRRRRR SCREW GUI BROWSERS I AM USING ELINKS!

+Michael Nardi In in Chromium (not sure if it works with the latest version but it kept working after the flag was pulled from chrome) you could launch it in single process mode with --single-process and the RAM usage was significantly better. There was other issues associated with running single process but it was a lot better in terms of RAM.

I'm sure the root cause is inefficiencies but because of the way the multi-process system is working it's clearly multiplying the problem. I guess by the same logic if efforts to optimise Chrome's memory usage even by a little bit in the right areas could quite drastically reduce the usage with many tabs.

My Nexus 4 can't come to any more press events - the battery has been pathetic. Lucky I brought a battery pack! To be honest I wished I could have taken one of new phones +Honor showed us today back with me - that might have made it back with me without being tethered to a massive battery!

Very impressed with the devices that we were shown today. Hands on reviews and details will be up on LittleGreenDude.com in a few days!

Looks like the 128GB S6 edge is going to be £800-900 off contract. Ouch. For comparison for those of you not the in UK the Nexus 6 and M9 cost £500 here although admittedly with less storage. However, even the 64GB S6 Edge is £700. Even that's still more than a Nexus 6 and a Moto G 2014 combined.

+George S :P The battery icon could be from almost any device - loads of devices have landscape battery icons which are white and look just like that, as could the signal bars.

And given there are just two icons in the usual status area with only two possible arrangements I don't see how you can say the layout is the same.

A lot of Huawei devices have an iOS like UI granted so I can't say this won't for sure but to say that from this image I think that is a bit of a stretch.

As for the camera icon that's pretty much identical to the one you get on stock. Look at a Nexus running Lollipop. I think it actually IS the same icon from AOSP.

I'll let you guys in on a secret, we've had a lot more iOS devices on our site today than usual. It seems Apple users are keen on checking out the S6 and M9. Good for them!

+Corey Faure Well I was to an extent but I was mainly reporting on something we'd observed over at my site. Thought people might find it interesting. Most sites don't share traffic or demographics stats so it's hard to say for sure usually.
