"It's always prudent to allow a slight gap to open between your front wheel and the wheels in front of you as you enter a turn. This little cushion will allow you to react to any problems those riders encounter. If you're glued to someone else's wheel, you're at his mercy throughout the corner. If your wheel is outside his, you're relinquishing a lot of control over your line through the turn."

After reading so many good reviews, I decided to give this store a call and a visit if they had what I wanted. The young lady on the phone said they had the part I needed, and since that was the only one I could find, I decided to make the 24.7 mile drive. My luck they didn't have the exact part I was told on the phone and it didn't seem like I was welcomed. The guy made me feel as if I was there to steal something or buy for something that was stolen. It was a very uncomfortable experience! I did buy one item for $20, although my receipt states I bought two misc. items @ $10. :D Something tells me if I don't find what I need close by, ordering will be my best option next time.

I must say, this is a 5 star shop. Having just moved to the area, I came by the store for two reasons: to buy a floor pump and to check out the closest shop to me. After walking out the door it was clear that I needn't look further for a shop to call home. Tony was of great help, spending nearly half an hour explaining all the local info. "I can show you a cool ride, come around here," and with that I'm behind the counter looking at a Garmin Connect mapped route for a local ride. He then goes further to tell me all about great mountain biking and road riding places. And, get this, all why I have ZERO products in my hand. This is the kind of service one can only dream for: a set of people who genuinely care about what they do and the people in their community. These guys must know that genuine help and kindness goes a long way when it comes to the consumer's dollar. After spending the time with Tony, I couldn't help but make a purchase, which I originally was looking to do online. Why? Because Tony went out of his way to make it happen, show me the differences in products and prices, and spent time going over the warranty. I walked into the shop thinking about a pump, I left only thinking about how bad I want to ride my bike. Thanks Tony, I'll definitely be back, and be sending any business I can your way - Charley's Bicycle Laboratory beyond deserves it.

I LOVE CHARLEY'S BICYCLE LABORATORY!!!! Not being an experienced rider, I was very apprehensive about walking into this bike shop given my previous experiences with other bicycle shops and being stereotyped because I did not have the "look" of being a rider. NOT WITH THESE GUYS! I was greeted promptly and with a BIG SMILE from TONY! He was very informative and he wasn't a pushy salesman, I told him my price range and he made it work! I purchased a bike for my husband and he LOVES it. I will DEFINITELY be purchasing with these guys again. I even told DEVON that I worked in the doctors office across the street and she came to her appointment.....ON HER AWESOME BIKE! LOVE LOVE LOVE this wonderful establishment! - Brittane' & Shamir Grant

I was new to the area and figured I'd check this place out. They have a great selection of Specialized, and the staff was really nice. A lot of shops seem to talk down to you if you don't ride an all carbon bike and ride a few hundred miles a week, but this place was very nice and was willing to talk about which ever bikes were in your price range and were best for your ability. I will definitely be making Charley's Bike Lab my LBS.

I've really loved getting to know the CBL crew. This is much more than a bike shop - it's very obvious that this is a community. CBL does a great job with this, and has made me as a newcomer feel very welcome (and I didn't even buy my bike there). I'm looking forward to doing a great deal of business here in the coming weeks and months.

I recently had my 10 year old bike overhauled by Charley's. They did an amazing job getting it back to just as new shape and it rides fantastic. The service there is great and everyone is treated like family. We are lucky to finally have a top tier shop in NW OKC that supports cyclists at every level of fitness and experience. The free cycling bootcamp in the winter was also fun as well. I know I get better thinks to the free coaching.
