In the interest of clarity I am very pro Net Neutrality. These greedy companies are stupid and cheating. They want people to pay twice for things and will deny your choice of services to push their or charge you to have choice. Further this will essentially destroy the net as we know it.

Can it be made to "work"? Of course but at what price and compromise.

All that being said I will certainly not donate to a government agency like the FCC to fight a lawsuit against NN. I expect them to do their jobs and they are more than adequately funded. If they can't manage this no brainier then LET them destroy and enjoy the ensuing show.

I can't imagine having the skill let alone the dedication to hone such awe inspiring talent.  I love this instrument, to me... it's like the Japanese version of a steel guitar in that it can... "cry".  However the Shamisen seems like it can do more and a true artist (concealed by anime or not) can make the song tell a story.  I swear without the video that I can see the story.

There was loss, there was strife, then lament perhaps over victory... perhaps over failure and then the close is like a death.  So... I kinda told you mine, tell me yours :)

Takes me back.  Joy Division.. loss of Ian... New Order... High School in a nut shell.  Never will cease to be a favorite album I don't care how many main streamers jumped the wagon.  God forbid they recognize something decent for once ya know?

The Way of the Samurai is found in death. When it comes to either/or, there is only the quick choice of death. It is not
particularly difficult. Be determined and advance. To say that dying without reaching one's aim is to die a dog's death
is the frivolous way of sophisticates. When pressed with the choice of life or death, it is not necessary to gain one's
aim.

This is a quote from the book called, Hagakure.  It's literal meaning in Japanese is "Hidden in the Leaves".  To me, this makes a great amount of sense, even to me, many of the things we look hardest for are literally sitting at our feet simply waiting for us to be observant enough to see, recognize, and embrace them.

Technically speaking, the book was written as a "manual" on how to be a proper Samurai but luminaries throughout the world have seen it's intrinsic value as nearly a literal (nearly, literal is still not abused in meaning here lol) guide to almost anything.  If you approach this thing in these ways, you'll achieve these results or will have at least stood 'till the end for what you truly believed.

All in all, that's a pretty awesome thought.

Really love the work John Oliver has been doing in his new show.  Great episode on municipal fines and the use of them to run a government.

I must admit... I didn't care for his hassling the chick bitching at the cop.  Most cops deserve to be hassled as they are usually in the process of being dicks.  Doing things like giving you tickets one of their buddies would let them off for (they call it professional courtesy, I call it a double standard).

How many times have any of us, pulled over for BS in the first place, had to listen to some idiot cop lecture us or go through some nauseating script about what you have to do like it's not WRITTEN ON THE TICKET and all it really is is a power trip.  They can keep you from going and they like it.

I too have told more than one police officer in such a situation (obviously when I was full clean lol) that, "Look Officer... I don't need nor want, NOR are you ENTITLED to give me any lecture.  You made your choice, issue the ticket, and shut up so I can be on my way."

None of them liked it... but guess what... it's LEGAL.  Cops learn from this and SHUT UP once your job is done.

Listening to Bob Costas away from pure sports, the more I hear the more I think the man should be put into office instead of behind a microphone.

As I watched a show ending.. a new one began called... The Slap.  At first I was mildly interested... watched long enough to become annoyed at whatever pedantic crap was occurring yet still want to get the information to satisfy my interest over the name.

Once I found out I was horrified.  Yes "violence" against a child is wrong but so is letting the little shits run amok.  Any parent that would sue any other person for providing mild discipline because THEY would not should have their children removed in the first place.  It was such an offensive concept it was almost enough to make me watch the show.  Except... again very little seems to be about that vs the silly crap happening on the sidelines that I THINK they mistakenly believe is some form of masterful character building etc... blah blah.

Yikes.

By being impatient, matters are damaged and great works cannot be done. If one considers something not to be a matter of time, it will be done surprisingly quickly.

    Account Escalation Manager, 2013 - 2015
Initially I provided consulting expertise and application expertise for the flagship Field Service Automation SaaS package - FieldAware. As the flag ship entity of our industry, we have offices in Dublin, London, Chicago, Clearwater, and Plano. As the Account Escalation Manager I deliver service to any partner with issues that are superseding the normal channels of resolution. I task the Support and Development groups as required to achieve a winning resolution for FieldAware and our partners. My technical background allows me to identify these issues and point a technician or a trainer to the correct area and, in conjunction with financial considerations I endeavor not only to keep business but to keep business partners for FieldAware for the long term.

I go back repeatedly. Admittedly I am a creature of habit, always getting the Scampi but, it's always great. Family members have never complained about any dish and I have fussy family members. I am fussier still! Solid service, premium food, fair price. That's a "Yes" any day of the week.

I would never EVER do business with this place again. Jeff the VP was a complete ASS. Their staff, while generally pleasant was, without but two exceptions, the most stupid group of people I have tried to do business with. The last straw was a frozen account from a completely legitimate charge because it was in England. I could live with that as a fraud protection and despite their generally horrid service I let it go and just got my new debit card with the explanation it would be active in a day or two. 1 Week went by. Not active. Drive through teller tried to close on me at 12:01 after I spend 10 minutes at the ATM with the no working card. Another week after that visit, still inactive and I am declined for a gas purchase. UNDERSTANDABLY livid I laid into them but good as they deserved and Jeff the VP was SO concerned with their performance that he tried to chastise ME for my treatment of his staff. I happily closed my account and had a Capitol One account in and out the door in under 15 minutes. This place is a joke and if you ever deal with them in particular the VP Jeff, be prepared to experience service unparalleled in it's inadequacy.
