Hyundai has just announced that its second-generation Genesis luxury sedan has managed 100,000 sales in a period of only 18 months since launch. The achievement comes 10 months sooner than on the previous model, suggesting brand recognition has risen a lot.

So for fathers day 2015 I decided to take my wife to Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale to test drive a few cars we where interested. I had gone through the True Car website to get an idea of what we would pay for what we where looking for. Several dealers had called me, but Susan's message from Chapman was the most sincere. So sunday afternoon we decided to stop by. Donald Williams greeted us at the door even though I was set on working with Susan. Unfortunately Susan was not working at that time, so Donald gave us the tour of the models they had. He was a pleasure to work with and had a great sense of humor. There was definitely no pressure and we had a very enjoyable time test driving several cars. We ended up getting a 2015 Sonata that I absolutely love. The whole process was quick and no pressure! Thank You Chapman Hyundai of Scottsdale! You guys Rocked!

Many Thanks to the Service Manager John and Tom Andrews in taking care of recent car service an my concerns. They both are kind and honest individuals and made my visit a relaxing one..Ready as promised and really appreciated the car wash. A 5 Star staff.

Chapman Hyundai Scottsdale is the master of the Bait and Switch. I went in with the intention of trading in my Escape for an internet special on a Santa Fe of $3500 down and $300/month for 3yr lease. The sales rep was nice and friendly, however, when the manager gave me a better lease “deal”, it wasn't until the paperwork was signed that I found out that I wasn’t getting ANY of my hard earned money back on my trade-in. The finance manager gave me the heads up that I was getting a crap deal. He was the only honest person in that place. Despite the online deal, the manager said that “for me” it would be $5600 down and $569/month, if I didn’t want to keep my trade-in money down. Mark Johnson was rude, refused to explain the details to me, refused to explain the details to my dad and wanted only to take advantage of a female buyer.

Dear Roxanne, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. I am sorry you feel you did not have a good experience. It is our goal to give every customer world class customer service and I am truly sorry you did not feel that was your experience. Please let me first say there was absolutely no “Bait and Switch”. The vehicle you came in to look at is the one you purchased. In regard to the Sales Manager offering you an option to lease the vehicle, it is the responsibility of the dealership to present every option and product available to each customer. Initially, you agreed to the lease option and purchase several of the aftermarket items offered to you such as warranty, alarm etc. After you initially signed the documents you opted to not purchase the additional items and chose to purchase the vehicle instead of lease. The dealership accommodated you in your request. As far as Mark Johnson not explaining the details to your dad, unless he had your permission we are not legally allowed to speak with anyone other than the person who purchased. I apologize if you felt he was rude and it has been addressed with him. We appreciate your business and thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. I just purchased my 2015 Elantra yesterday and i couldn't be happier. I contacted the dealership two days prior and it was just to let them know i was interested, no pressure and to contact if i had any further questions. I was working with Justin and Susan, they were both very laid back, and answered all my questions i had at that time. Justin contacted me Monday morning i believe in regards to my trade to get some more information and i stopped in yesterday just thinking i was going to test drive. But NO, i drove away in my brand new car. It was a little more than i wanted to spend but my previous car i was swimming in it, and they got me a great deal and i couldn't be happier. Susan is like a mom she made me feel comfortable and like i've known her my whole life. She is a sweetheart!! Once i got back into fiance that went well too! He got me a great deal, and walked me through the process! Thank you Chapman

Had a great experience with them. Chris V was very helpful and patient. He also was very charismatic and easy going, not to mention his honesty, he took the nerves out of the situation. They got me into a great new car, and were able to finance through my credit union. I would definitely recommend these guys.

I went to Chapman Autoplex to look at a VW Jetta and noticed a Hyundai Elantra that caught my eye so I went to look at it while I was there and it seemed like a really nice car but I was in a tough negative equity situation with a Ford Fiesta that was less than a year old but was having continual problems, it was going to need a second transmission replacement in less than 36K and under a year. Carmen was the first sales person to approach my wife and I she was very nice and didn't pounce as is often the case with car dealers, she was very nice and understanding of my situation and instead of being high pressure listened to my situation suggested that we talk to another gentleman in the dealership, Justin who could better assess the situation so that we could find a car that we could work with based on my negative equity and see if it would be a car that I would even like, which is something I found to be very refreshing, an honest sales person at a car dealer. Carmen got Justin and explained the situation to Justin ahead of time so that I didn't have to tell him the same story again (another first for me in a car dealer) and Justin spoke to Mark in the sales tower and he quickly (a third first for me at a car dealer) came to me with a list of car that they had in stock that would have enough rebates & incentives to be able to balance out the negative equity so that the bank would be willing to let them take my existing car and make the deal for a new car. Then with the list in hand of what would definately work (there was no pressure to buy now, we had a relaxed talk over a soda about what type of cars most appealed to me so he could trim the list down to the right fit.) While we spoke Carmen & Justin were both asking I'm sure leading questions about my driving habits, preferences, passengers, pets, job and such but it never felt like anything more than a friendly chat. We finally arrived at a left over 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited. I test drove the car with Carmen and it was automotive love within 2 miles, we went back to the dealership and worked out the entire deal in under 3 hours. From start to finish the entire process took less than 4 hours and I never felt pressured or rushed. Also when I have returned to the dealership for anything, Carmen and Justin make me feel like I'm friend not a customer, all dealers should strive for this level of experience.

I just completed purchasing my very first brand new car. I bought a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. I am so very pleased with the vehicle, the deal and especially the treatment I received from my sales person Susan Renfrow. She was a pleasure to deal with, straight forward and honest. She turned what had been a nightmare at other dealerships into a very good experience. Who knows I may buy another new vehicle in the future as long as I can deal with Susan. I feel like I made a new friend.
