Expert Talk on Online Learning for Smart Grid, Communications, and Networks: Optimization Algorithms

Amrit Singh Bedi, #ElectricalEngineer from #IndianInstituteofTechnology Kanpur (#IITKanpur), India visited department of Electrical engineering, Chandigarh University and interacted with EE students. Esteemed guest shared his expert knowledge on "Smart Grid, Communications, and Networks: Optimization Algorithms". He discussed about the development of online, asynchronous, and distributed stochastic convex optimization algorithms to address various challenges in multi-agent network systems. He also visited #industry sponsored labs for emerging technology in the campus. Mr. bedi praised the quality of #infrastructure and #facilities being provided to the budding engineers.

WWE to hold first-ever talent tryout in #India @ CU campus!

Casting call for prospective athletes on 17th January 2019 at Chandigarh University campus as #WWE will visit India in search of the next generation of WWE Superstars by holding the first-ever talent tryout. The four-day tryout will give up to 40 athletes from India the opportunity to showcase their abilities with the goal of being selected to begin training at the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, U.S. The talent pool will comprise of elite performers with a diverse background in sports and athletics including #kushti, #kabaddi, #wrestling, #AmericanFootball, #basketball, #combatsports, #cricket and #bodybuilding.

All the interested athletes are requested to prepare themselves accordingly to be a part of the internationally reputed wrestling federation to make #CUproud.

Celebrating 71st #IndianArmyDay

In honour of our Indian Armed Forces, Col. BPS Thakur Commanding Officer, 23 PB BN NCC graced the #ArmyDay celebrations at CU. Our #NCC cadets paid homage and salute the courageous and brave Indian soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for protecting the country. Col. In honor of our Military Forces -71st #IndianArmyDay

It will be the first time in the history that a woman officer will lead an Army contingent on #ArmyDay parade. Lt. Bhawana Kasturi will be the first woman officer leading a contingent comprising of 144 male officers.
