SuperSU v2.78 SR5

This update fixes some compatibility issues with a number of Nougat firmwares across various devices.

Some modifications that SuperSU makes to SELinux combined with stricter service execution rules in Nougat and the absence of explicit security labels in the startup scripts of some firmwares, could lead to some scripts not being executed.

On many firmwares this issue didn't occur at all, but on some (S7 Nougat Beta, CM14.1/RR-N on various devices) this could lead to Wi-Fi, cellular, and other modem-related features not working. On a rare firmware this caused bootloops, like on HTC10's shell-script-spaghetti Nougat firmware (I feel dirty just having looked at it).

Additionally, SuperSU GUI now offers to disable Samsung's SecurityLogAgent component as part of disabling KNOX, to get rid of some annoying popups.

As TWRP is not currently available for the HTC10's Nougat firmware, and its fastboot mechanism isn't compatible with the current incarnation of CF-Auto-Root, I've made a custom package to install this version of SuperSU to the HTC10 (linked below). Once TWRP or CF-Auto-Root is out, you should just use that instead.

Should I install this or stick with S4 on my Pixel XL
I rooted NDE63P on the Pixel XL using your method, can I take the OTA upgrade or would this risk losing root or a boot loop?

Hey Chainfire,

Can we use flashfire to install the su packages on a Pixel (XL)?
could you add to the documentation the process for traditional /sytem root? I need su to survive a factory reset and all my searches were useless.
If the charging speed is able to be fast?
Working perfectly as always on my pixel xl
Throw please email me auto root for the model Samsung SC-01F to 4.4.2 email:
+Chainfire just FYI but nobody is able to install SuperSU SR4 or SR5 on Pixel XL using the new RC1 TWRP. :)

+James Laroach III and +Davor Bertovic the XDA TWRP thread has a workaround.
Basically, you install the TWRP Alpha 2 IMG and reboot to recovery.
Then you use the "add more zips" option to batch install TWRP RC2 + SuperSU + kernel (if you want) all in one shot.
You're basically installing SuperSU from TWRP Alpha 2 but after all is done, you have TWRP RC1 + root.
This SuperSU cause the eather on homescreen to stop working
My CM is 14.1
This guy. All I want to do is unlock every samsung bootloader ever written until ownership is understood by everyone and this guy does one better by using their own security against them. They are so mad they went to blowing their phones up in peoples pockets.
With Android 7.1.1 SuperSU 2.7.8 SR5 sometime the root will lost. Need reboot to recovery the root. Any solution? It's permanent here. I tried many different roms.
Remove samsung security. Debloat, debloat, debloat. If you see anything says samsung and security get it gone. When they talk security they mean for Samsung. They're getting pretty serious about you only rent their stuff and unauthorized repair is nulled. Disable their tracking before they blow up your phone 😂
Sorry. I was told Google+ is not a support page. As far as i can tell the interweb had three uses - knowledge, to complain and pornography and there is no naked girls here.
+Chainfire Will there be a Tango Phab2Pro root available? Privilege Escalation?
Hey I have a pixel that's had a factory hard reset but FRP is in place and I don't have the account that is attached to the device so I can't log in and set up the phone. USB Debugging is OFF and the only thing I can do with ADB is sideload. Currently running 7.1.1. Any solution to this to get past the FRP?
I can use CF-AUTO-ROOT for my SM-G900H... but can i flash this 2.78 SR5 with my CWM recovery?!
+Chainfire can you please guide me how do you make Custom recovery for CF auto root

+Eddie Walton thanks for the info! How do I revert from rc1 to alpha2? Can I just fastboot the alpha2 (to replace the rc1) then use the described method? Thanks!
