HS Student Change Request Process - Figured this might be a good group to pick the brains of. I've been tasked with helping our HS Guidance/Admin better streamline their "course request change" process from students. Students register in Jan/Feb. Get an early draft of schedule in May. Final scheduled in August. Requests for changes come throughout April-Aug.  They currently have a paper form students fill out to start the wheels in motion but looking to better track this process. We use PowerSchool as our SIS.   Looking to this group for --

What do you do?
Do you have a process?
Tools/Workflow you utilize that works for you?
Any resources to share?

Thanks in advance!

Will do Chad.  I know from a parent/student perspective it has made life much easier than the old paper shuffle of days gone by.  It also lets you know how many credits are remaining in each subject area for a student so it's a good grad planner as well.

Google Docs Equation Spacing Off by User
I know this was discussed previously but here's a more concrete of an example we are seeing over and over again, specifically with math teachers, that is a real nuisance.

Team of 3 math teachers create math documents together. They will use equation editor to utilize fractions.  I was with them at a math training yesterday and all 3 had the same document up. A lot of annoying inconsistencies were present so here are some examples:

PROBLEM 1
Teacher A's page 2 text would start at bottom of page 1 while Teachers B & C had page 2 text start correctly at the top of page 2.
(as a somewhat solution, I showed them how to do COMMAND+ENTER as a page break before the text they want to be 'page 2' text. Not a complete solution as if they aren't in the same room seeing each other's screens, the ones that are 'okay' vs the ones that are 'off' don't know it from the other and when they try to fix it, they may mess up the other's view)

PROBLEM 2
The bigger and more annoying issue is the fractions. Screenshot below shows what all 3 teachers see on their screen.  Here are things I tried with these teachers before reporting here:

1) Verified they were all running same version of Chrome (they were)

2) All were working on Mac, same operating system

3) Prior to this, we had removed all 'fun fonts' and removed all text formatting to get this back to just regular text (Arial)

4) Made sure all were at the same 'zoom' in the browser by doing Command+0.  Refreshed a time or two to verify.

5) Making the file a PDF doesn't help -- text is still off on the PDF copy (and this team is constantly updating/changing these problems so PDF not viable solution).  Printing also results in the way this looks on screen for each teacher.

Really annoying issue -- can't understand why the same doc is showing VERY differently across three screens.

Anyone have ANY kind of suggestion or solution for this or place to properly report this? (I'm still looking around in Google Doc forums as I know I posted something like this there before).

Had the pleasure of renting from Alamo in Las Vegas. The service desk folks worked as fast and efficiently as they could and I didn't feel bothered by wait time. I was well on my way in a reasonable amount of time. The car I had performed well. Great service that I will use again.
