Nice!

Check out the new Google Photos app — which comes with unlimited storage for photos up to 16MP and videos up to 1080p HD resolution. Just choose ‘high quality’ when you upload them through the new Photos app or Photos desktop uploader if you’d like them stored for free.

Just like before, the images and videos you keep in Google Photos will appear in Google Drive automatically and any you upload or sync using Drive will always be the uncompressed, originals and will use your available storage.

Started using +FreshBooks for my invoicing and expenses tracking. Love it!  The customer service has been great and I really feel this has helped improve my workflow.  If you are looking to try it out, here is a 30-day free trial referral code. I just experimented for the 25ish days and then was sold to start paying for it.  Great service!

Yeah - QB was my other option and I happened to try FB first and was very pleased with it. Can you collect credit card payments through QB?

Ideas? Creating video with non-techy folk that may record their own clips on smartphone and then I want to collect easily all in one place. Efficient/easy way for them to upload to me? Email to +Dropbox folder? I feel like I did or read about that once. Help?

So excited for this!
Dave Cohen originally shared to Technology:

7 Things To Love About the New Google Photos App

I’m super excited about today’s Google Photos launch! The team has been working hard to deliver a wonderful experience across Android, iOS, and web. I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite features for those of you who might not have had a chance to play with the app yet. So without further ado; 7 things to love about the new Google Photos app.

Never lose a photo again. Auto Backup is one of my very favorite features. Google Photos can upload every photo you take and store it securely in the cloud so that you can view it across devices, and keep your memories safe in the event that you lose or break your phone. You can even install our desktop uploader (https://photos.google.com/apps) and get quick access to your entire photo library in the palm of your hand.

Store all your photos and videos online. Forever. For free. We’ll store all your photos and videos in high quality (16mp and 1080p respectively). at 16 megapixels, that’s big enough to print at 24x16! Oh yeah, and it’s completely free :)

Search your photo library like a magician. Looking for that photo of your dog playing in the snow from 5 years ago? No problem! Google Photos’ new search feature will help you find it instantly. Search your photo library just as easily as you search the web. Seriously… it’s amazing.

Never run out of space on your phone again. I don’t know about you, but I get really tired of having to delete photos and videos from my phone every time I run low on space. The new Photos app can detect when you’re running low on storage, and will offer to help clean up old photos from your device that have been safely backed up to the cloud.

Share photos anywhere. Want to share on Facebook? Instagram? Twitter? No problem! You no longer need a Google+ account to get all the Google Photos goodness.

Easily make gorgeous movies with your photos and videos. Google Photos comes with a beautiful movie creation and editing platform. Just pick the photos and videos you want to include, choose music and visual effects, and you’re done! Google Photos will make a beautiful, professional-looking movie in seconds that would take minutes or hours in traditional movie making apps.

Your very own personal assistant. Everyone who installs the new Photos app will also get a personal assistant. Your assistant works around the clock to make cool things from your photo library like stories, movies, animations, collages, and more. These creations show up automatically in your Assistant view and you can choose whether you want to keep them or not. All you have to do is use your phone and let your assistant do the hard work!

So those are some of my favorite things about the new Google Photos app. There’s still a ton of other cool stuff to discover. What are your favorite features?
Google Photos is the home for all your photos and videos, searchable and or...

Chrome Management  -

Approved Chrome Apps & Extensions - In our district, we have Chrome Apps & Extensions set to "Only allow the ones we approve" and then we maintain the list for Allowed Apps/Extensions and also add the same ones in the "Custom URL store" area so students know that any they see there are approved.  I've noticed over time when looking at the ones we've approved that some other entries are in the Apps/Ext list (Screenshot below) that are just jumbled letters. No details link so I don't know what this is/was if it was an App/Ext that changed.  More times than not, we're not missing one so I don't know what these extraneous entries are. Feedback/Thoughts?

I would be VERY circumspect about deleting something just because you don't recognize it.  I would do as Adam Smith recommended and plug it into the web store first and see what comes up.  Stuff like GoGuardian  and other 3rd party tools could break.

End Of Year Survey For Students? - I am looking for samples of surveys other districts may have used to ask students about the use of their Chromebook during our first year of 1:1.  Anyone have any to share?  Thinking about asking things like screen time during the school day, screen time at home, use of device for research, use of device for creation or things like that. Would love to see if someone else already has something like this I could totally poach from.

+Henry Thiele - I know you shared data from a survey at a past summit...questions you asked or is this online somewhere you can point me to?
