Anyone know what MSP software that this screenshot is from? It looks like it also uses Vipre Antivirus and I'm pretty sure it's not GFI.

I know I have a lot of Android loving friends on G+, so I'm posting this here before I post to ebay. I'm selling my like new red 32GB Nexus 5. I received it near the end of March and stopped using it about 3 weeks ago. There is nothing wrong with it, it's just an Android phone wasn't a fit for me. I have the box and all parts. It has a Rhino Shield screen protector and Cruzerlite Bugdroid Circuit Case, both put in to use the second it came out of the box. I used it with +Ting so it's a Sprint based phone. I just updated it to the latest version (4.4.3 I think).

I'd like to get $350 for it all (I will only ship within US, sorry). Comment if you're interested. Thanks.

New option to block the execution of SYSKEY.EXE as recently being exploited by malware.  See this thread for the initial idea, thanks Simon!

Testing out the ghacks post about getting updates for XP using the Embedded POSReady 'workaround'

I setup an XP virtual machine and fully updated it and then imported the registry entry. There were some additional critical updates listed after, though a couple seem to be specific to WEPOS. I went ahead and installed all that were listed and the machine still seems to be functioning normally.

Perhaps running these machines in a VM and routinely snap shoting and backing up the snapshots is a place to start. Also if possible isolate them from the internet and network if feasible

Another one of those things where you wonder how you never thought of it. So simple.

Hmmm, very interesting. Will have to test this one out.

#windowsxp

I usually do not post Windows fixes and would prefer people switch to Linux, but if this cheats MS by stopping some users from switching to Windows 7 or 8 then it is worth a try.
Microsoft's official support for the Windows XP operating system ended more than a month ago. While some companies and organizations are still receiving updates for the operating system, end users do not. These companies pay Microsoft for that, usually because they were not able or willed to migrate computer's running Windows XP to another operating system before the extended support phase for the system ended. …
