Chabaar has consistently delicious food! I love the variety of the menu as well. They have lots of traditional Thai as well as some crazy fun things like the Curry Pot Pie. The best item is off menu -- ask for the Eggplant Stirfry. The spice levels are awesome. Level 2 is hotter than most restaurants "hot" and 3 is very hot.

Fantastic Thai fusion sit-down. Everything from the waffles to the (recommended) curry pot pie is wonderful. Best pad Thai I've had - if you're off that ilk. They also just started brewing their own kombucha (which makes them along the first restaurants in Utah to adopt this tend). One slight detractor is their level of capsaicin (spice) in spicier dishes. I can take hotter food than most, but a level 2 (out of 10) at Chabaar seems more like a dare i'm powering through than a balanced dish i'm enjoying - and that's a level 2. I would recommend swallowing the silly pride of "enduring" a meal you paid good money for and getting a level 1 (which is often sufficiently spicy). The waitresses can provide you with pepper sauces so you can spice it to your liking so you are still enjoying your food - not enduring it.

I used to love going here, and I have been bringing friends here because I really loved it. This lunch time, though, when we ordered our usual eggplant dish, and asked for level 6, the waiter (dont know her name but she is blond) was giving us an annoyed look when we ordered, and insisted that we chose level 2. When my friend explained that we were here before, she was giving us a grumpy look, and showed us that our names are not in the book. Well, I remember when i went there the first time, they didnt ask me to write my name, and a couple of occasions, they didn't ask either. What really makes me angry was when she came with the food, and after we almost finished it,she was telling us that she changed the order to be level 3! without our permission, whatsoever. We told Annie this, and she claimed that they never give beyond level 3 to first timers, and that our names should be there in level 6. She didnt believe me that sometimes the waiters don't ask for our names. What a disappointment, I used to love this place, now I will never bring friends here.

Their homemade ice cream is amazing! I love the Thai tea and honey lavender flavors. The staff is always friendly and the place is really clean. I've been there a few times and will definitely be back.

Chabaar is one of my favorite places to eat in Salt Lake- I have tried many of the amazing options on their HUGE menu. They have options if you are eating healthy or want to treat yourself- Something for everybody- I love spicy, this is one of the few places I can get the HEAT I'm after and the food is packed with flavor. They aren't kidding about the spice level start off low on the scale of 1-10. You can always add the special recipe hot sauce if you need more- you will be surprised at how hot you can actually get them to make the food. A great beer and wine menu as well as having Kombucha on tap- How cool is that! Give this place a try!

Went to Chabaar's for breakfast - yes, you read that correctly - breakfast! They have a traditional breakfast menu, and a Thai breakfast menu. I decided to try the Thai Omelette - it was incredible! It had this sweet peanut/curry sauce that was divine! It's my new favorite breakfast place, and I'll take advantage of every opportunity to eat there again!
