The menu mixes classic Thai with custom spice levels & American dishes, plus breakfast, beer & wine.- Google
"Love the pineapple chicken curry, and the drunken noodle!"
"The papaya salad and sliced beef entree is worth every penny!"

I have always enjoyed Chabaar. Up until recently-the last three visits. I was there today and had had the Massaman Curry, which is my favorite, but today it overly salty and the consistency was very think. My brother and I were VERY disappointed. The presentation was not the same either. In the past it looked like "Food Art" today it was extremely plain. I worry Chabaar's quality is declining. I probably won't try it again after many years of being a faithful customer.

This is my favorite place for Thai food. Excellent curries. Good Service. Best spicy food. On my first visit they advised me to not order spicy level 3 and I am glad they did. I am from India and love spicy food. Good selection on wines as well :)

The curry might have tasted good but I couldn't tell because my mouth was on fire along with everyone else's in my party. BEWARE: The heat scale they use of 1-9 is ridiculous!!! I ordered our curry as a 2, thinking it would be just a little spicy and still kid friendly, but after one bite I knew something had gone terribly wrong with our order. I talked to the waitress and she informed us that nothing had gone wrong with our order and what we were tasting was indeed a number 2 spicy level. The waitress matter of factly informed us that most people never order beyond a 3 and that no one ever orders a 9 unless they are insane and have a death wish. That would have been useful information before we ordered $40.00 of almost inedible food. So the scale should really be a scale of 1-3, 3 being HOT!!! I left feeling disappointed, decieved, hungry, and $50.00 poorer. We shouldn't have left a tip because no one did us any favors besides bringing us 5 pitchers of water in an attempt to relieve the pain.

Chabaar is one of my favorite places to eat in Salt Lake- I have tried many of the amazing options on their HUGE menu. They have options if you are eating healthy or want to treat yourself- Something for everybody- I love spicy, this is one of the few places I can get the HEAT I'm after and the food is packed with flavor. They aren't kidding about the spice level start off low on the scale of 1-10. You can always add the special recipe hot sauce if you need more- you will be surprised at how hot you can actually get them to make the food. A great beer and wine menu as well as having Kombucha on tap- How cool is that! Give this place a try!

Food was good. I took a spice leveI I couldnt handle and as a person coming from culture famous for spice, I should just say the spice wasnt cooked, like honestly. The service was pathetic but I do love their food options and thats quite a reason I would come back. Just a better service and waiters who care about customers is highly recommended. Else best place to eat thai food :)

An excellent Thai place with very diverse menu options all with exceptional taste and flavor. The sticky rice is delicious as is just about everything on the menu. The papaya salad and sliced beef entree is worth every penny!

The food is great. However the service is left to question. I feel like my server was judging what spice level i could handle by my race i asked for level 9 (which i have been to many thai restraunts before including Thai Siam and Tea Rose.) and she told me to try the sauce on the table so i did and i still told her 9 i would have even settled with a 6 or 7 but she said she would make it a 3 and bring out some chilli powder while i was waiting i observed her taking the order of a hispanic male and an Asian male when they asked for their food spicier she had no arguments. By the time she brought the powder, in which she promised, my food was cold....i have never had any Thai restaurant show this level of disrespect at least the others have worked with me and suggested 5, 6, or 7 with a side of chili powder. I love thai food so saying that I will never return to this establishment saddens me..
