Have you recently had an animal infestation? Chances are there is quite a mess up in the attic, sometimes the Anti-Microbial treatment isnt enough. If there a large amounts of feces, urine stained insulation, dead animals etc in the attic, you may want to consider having all the insulation removed and new insulation installed. This way we can guarantee there is no more evidence, bacteria, pheromones and concerns left up in the attic.
Insulation Removal and Installation of New Insulation to the Correct R levels for Energy saving benefits! Raccoons are known for using a single spot in your home as a latrine, while using another part of your attic as their living area. This can lead to matted attic insulation and reduced “R” values, which means you continue to lose money as you continue to heat and cool your home. It can also lead to stained ceilings and unnecessary odors.
Let our attic restoration professionals remove that soiled insulation and replace it with your choice of insulation products. The correct amount of attic insulation will help reduce your energy bills. Attics are one of the easiest places in a house to insulate, especially if you'd like to “cap” your existing attic insulation (add insulation to what you already have). Call Today to Schedule your Free Attic & Insulation Evaluation.

I live in a residential area and raccoons have begun visiting my backyard at night. They are using my yard as a rest stop in their nightly urban foraging. Our backyard is landscaped including a grass lawn. I am looking for anything short of cages to discourage them. Is there any non-toxic substance I can spread near their entrance/exit point to discourage their visits? http://www.centurianwildlife.com/raccoon.html

DO NATURAL REPELLENTS WORK ON RAT REMOVAL?
Everything from moth balls to ammonia to peppermint oil and human hair has been used as natural rat repellents, with poor results. One of the issues is that a great deal of the substance, whatever it may be, needs to be used and can provide an overpowering odor to humans.
Cleanliness is the best solution to keep rats away from your home, because they are attracted to food scraps and open garbage areas. Keeping garbage bags sealed and garbage bins secure is a great way to defend your home from rats.

Every Animal Removal and Wildlife Control situation is different, this is why we provide free estimates and inspections. Our Trapping techniques vary for each type of animal we encounter. Raccoon Trapping involves live traps set around the perimeter of the home. Rodent, rats, and mice trapping involves snap traps, glue traps, and even live traps set in the attic and under the home if needed. Bat Removal involves netting and valving the animals out of the structure and not allowing them to return. The situations range in difficulty as well, this is why our Wildlife Specialists are there to help you and solve your needs and problems.

Squirrels carry many diseases as well as bacterias. Squirrels are specialists at adapting to metropolitan and suburban life, and also nowadays we commonly notice Squirrels in and around homes, recreational areas, neighborhoods, yards and attributes with trash cans along with dumpsters. These Squirrels tend to be carriers of diseases that may spread to people. When distribute to people, these diseases are usually referred to as zoonosis.

Pigeons have adapted well to urban environments. Most cities are full of flocks of these birds, just looking for handouts. They often associate humans with food, and are unafraid to flock closely to people.

Everywhere a raccoon goes so, also, does disease. This isn’t to say that all raccoons are carrying diseases, but enough of the creatures are to justify caution around your property, or when one is inside of your house. The most common illnesses related to raccoon disorders are giardia, roundworms, and leptospirosis. Giardia and roundworms are intestinal parasites. Though roundworms often cause more systemic problems than giardia both parasites live in the gastrointestinal system. Many roundworms will bring about diarrhea and vomiting, causing hemorrhaging of the intestinal lining. Leptospirosis is a distinct kind of sickness. This bacterial disease is transmitted through contaminated pee. When cleaning the space, be sure you wear a respirator mask, gloves, and eye protection.

Raccoon capturing strategies include body handle traps, cage traps, box traps, leghold traps, trap sets, netting, and getting by hand, trap post capture. I favor using cage traps - they're the simplest and most humane. Yet, in the instance of a raccoon that is sick, I use a trap post and I remove infant raccoons by hand.
