A PRIMER ON THE ALLEGHENY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT: HOT TOPICS such as LEAD, obesity and tobacco cessation.

Join us for this exciting speaker!
Karen Hacker, MD, MPH, will provide an overview of the Allegheny County Health Department, discuss recent policy initiatives in some of the current major areas of focus such as maternal and child health, lead issues, obesity and tobacco cessation. She will also include a brief overview of the community health improvement plan and the priorities identified through a community engagement process, as well as a number of pressing issues with a particular focus on the current opioid overdose epidemic. Lastly, she will talk about some tips for dealing with overdoses and additions in the workplace.Registration:
