One thing that is not mentioned:

"Your book looks super interesting. Unfortunately, I can't buy it because I just purchased a car, and I need to save as much as I can to pay for it."

Yep, people have told me that. I'm not kidding.

"We believe that no one country should have the authority to control what content someone in a second country can access. We also believe this order is disproportionate and unnecessary, given that the overwhelming majority of French internet users—currently around 97%—access a European version of Google’s search engine like google.fr, rather than Google.com or any other version of Google."

What do you think?

Struggling to come up with an effective elevator pitch? This infographic should help.

I have also included some tips based on my personal experience.

#infographic   #elevatorpitch   #smallbusinesstips
Imagine meeting a potential customer in an elevator. What would you tell them in less than 30 seconds? A great elevator pitch requires conciseness and practice.

Do you send newsletters to your prospects? If not, you should. When it comes to promotion, emails are still preferred over social media sites.

In my latest contribution to the +Paper.li blog, I share five newsletter providers that will help take your business to the next level. They are all free, with paid upgrades of course.

Warning: epic list!

If, as small business owner, you find the time to follow even half of the recommendations, you are on your way. Most of the stuff is basic, but that's all you need to build a good online presence!

Thank you to +Tim Kelsey for sending me the link!

Marketing your business online is serious work that can make or break the success of a company. However, it is possible to master the basics yourself and start seeing tangible results without having to bend over backwards. But where do you start? Well, you need traffic.

I don't know about you, but I feel that the title is misleading. As awesome as YouTube may be, you don't build a brand on rented space.

Apart from that the article is pretty good.

I am originally from France and finding French food that tastes as such in Winnipeg can be challenging. Chez Sophie is the best French restaurant in the city. The owners have done a fantastic job promoting themselves and adapting to the local audience. Update: The pizza recipe has changed. The service as well. I'm not as impressed as I used to be!

The first couple of times I visited, the service and food were less than impressive. I am glad I decided to give this restaurant another chance, as things have improved greatly.
