Life is not always perfect and sometimes it may give us more grey days than colourful ones. It is during this time that we should remind our self of all the things we are grateful for. Here are something I have been up to and am grateful for these past couple of weeks.

At the change of seasons I like to sit down and take some time to reflect on the various areas that make up my life. Check out the tool I use and get free download here:
Spring is a beautiful reminder that after darkness there is hope and opportunity for renewal. This past winter was one of the coldest I have experienced, Toronto issued 38 cold day alerts. There were...

Looking out my home office window the mountains of snow in my yard are starting to shrink and if I look closely small patches of green are beginning to appear. The birds singing is a welcoming sound to my ears. Like most people in Toronto I am ready to say good bye to winter and hello to spring!

This winter has been an exceptionally difficult and cold one, forcing us to stay inside - and I for one was happy to bid adeus to February. The birds are already singing and soon tulips will start sprouting through the earth in a symphony of colours. With light beginning to arrive earlier and ...

Most of us are pretty good at washing and moisturizing our face in the morning and evening, but we could be doing more at home to nurture our face between seasonal professional visits to the spa, by incorporating a weekly deep facial cleanse into our skin care routine.

Speaking with friends about make-up I have concluded that most of us have a love hate relationship with make-up. Some can't seem to get enough - buying up the latest and greatest; others keep it simple and some avoid it unless absolutely necessary (i.e. special occasion, wedding, etc.).

See if you are the winner of "PEP TALK" lipstick giveaway ... and my week in photos!!
The week started off with International Women's Day on March 8th. Mr. G surprised me with mimosa flowers and a beautiful card that read "When I think of you, I am Inspired". The custom of giving the mimosa flower can be traced back to Italy around 1946. The flowers were intended to be given as a ...

I have been a big fan of Chanel cosmetics since introduced to the line by a friend almost 20 years ago. Once I tried the blush I was hooked! No matter how often I used it it seemed endless - Unlike the drugstore brands I was use to - that ended up with a gaping worn hole in the centre and then ...

Living Life one step at a time!
Introduction
I'm learning to THRIVE after falling off my High Heeled Life as a pedestrian struck by a car while crossing the street. My adventure into blogging started as part of my speech therapy in early 2010, to help with focus; writing and processing skills. What I have discovered since is I'm no longer the person I was before my accident and my life no longer fits. 2012 is about Creating Me and a Life that fits. I look forward to sharing with readers of Falling Off a High Heeled Life, my journey into discovering the benefits of tea as part of my daily routine; building a wardrobe that fits my new "smart casual" dressing style; ballet flats, wedge shoes, riding boots and wellies can be as fashionable as high heels; country living has its luster; therapeutic value of gardening and handwriting letters; healthy eating and fitness; and other many wonderful discoveries about transition in life, no matter the reason.
