On a whim, my husband and I decided to get away from Indianapolis and head to Asheville, NC, over the Easter weekend (April 2015). The Biltmore was on our bucket list! We considered this trip to be an adventure without booking any hotel rooms in advance -- and I'm so glad we didn't. Upon arriving in Asheville, my eyes saw the Cedar Crest Inn (a pink period home situated on top of a hill right off Biltmore Avenue). This B & B is perfectly placed right between the "hip" downtown area and the Biltmore Estate. It looked SO INTRIGUING AND HISTORIC, I decided to call and inquire. Honestly, I didn't think we had a chance of staying there, but to my delight learned THERE WAS A VACANCY! Drew was so welcoming on the phone, we just could not resist! I just can't say enough about this B & B. It is close to area restaurants, it's beautifully lit up at night with a big welcoming porch, and it is quite historic in it's own right (some of the same craftsmen from the Biltmore worked on this home, and this is evident!). Our room was very comfortable (lots of antiques) and breakfast was absolutely scrumptious (they have a great chef behind the scenes!). We ended up staying two nights in a row! We would stay here again -- IN A HEART BEAT! Forget the over-charging chain hotels and support this historic treasure of a B & B -- it's an affordable experience!

Overflowing with Victorian elegance. The staff was incredible and so sweet. The food is fresh and delicious. We stayed in the tower room which a nice view of the lawn, a very comfortable bed, and best of all, a claw foot tub. We can't wait to come back.

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at this lovely Inn. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and listening to Christmas music while looking at the pretty Christmas tree. We had hot cider and desert and did a little reading fireside . Our rooms as well as the rest of the Inn were very clean and comfy. I fell in love with my king size bed and was reluctant to leave it on Christmas morning but the wonderful aroma of breakfast would not allow me to linger in bed for long, so we wandered downstairs and enjoyed a very good breakfast. I found the staff to be warm and accommodating and the Inn is beautiful . I couldn't think of a more relaxing , peaceful, lovely way to spend the Holidays. I am recommending Cedar Crest to all my friends, a great place to get away.

My husband and I just returned from a lovely little weekend getaway to Asheville. This was our second time visiting the city and The Cedar Crest Inn. Just as we expected our stay was just as lovely as our first. They now offer somethings that they didn't before. We were treated to complimentary wine while sitting on the rockers they have on the veranda listening to wonderful classical music enjoying the brisk spring air and the gorgeous gardens. They also had a letter sitting on our pillow at check in thanking us for our return business and offering their assistance in anything we needed, a VERY nice and personal touch. Breakfast was just as delightful as I remembered and the staff even more gracious than I remembered. Last visit we stayed in their staple room "The Queen Anne" which we thoroughly enjoyed. This time we decided to try something different and more affordable and stayed in the Guest Cabin #1. The Guest Cabin was more private and slightly more modern. Not sure which was more enjoyable. I might say for the money the Cabin was my worth it for us. We paid $195 a night and a couple that we sat next to at dinner one evening at the Corner Kitchen (walking distance from the Inn and superb) told us they were paying over $230 for a Hilton chain type hotel down the road. I think we convinced them to stay at the bed and breakfast next time Anyway many thanks to Ledah and Drew and the rest of his staff. Our stay was a memorable one!

My wife and I had a romantic getaway at the Cedar Crest Inn in Asheville NC. We rented a 2 BR cottage and there was plenty of room. The grounds were nicely kept and spotless yet accommodating to our dogs. The rooms were full of wonderful antique furnishings and the deck overlooked trees and beautiful shrubs. We like to bird watch and we enjoyed several of our friends that came around to entertain us. The Inn is centrally located to downtown Asheville and the historic Biltmore Village. We had a wonderful time and we will return.

I surprised my fiance with our engagement and a birthday retreat to Asheville. We stayed at the Cedar Crest Inn as our first B&B experience. It was amazing, loved the staff, very informative and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

We planned a visit to the candle light tour of the Biltmore and decided to stay at the Cedar Crest B&B. It had a beautiful early 1900's victorian touch with large fireplaces and cozy atmosphere. You also have the option of renting one of the more private, spacious cottages on the property. The innkeeper was wonderful, the place was nicely kept and breakfast was amazing. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and he was extremely helpful and cared for the upmost satisfaction of his guest. I would recommend this place to anyone.
